I think the show is rigged in one way or another. The young tribe was dominating the old tribe for three shows and then all of a sudden they turn the tide? Too dramatic.
How did he spell road? rode? Maybe he didn't want to win as a strategy move because then you have to pick someone to tag along while possibly alienating the others. Did Ted win the reward challenge? If he did, then look where he is now. It may be a good move to not win reward challenges. It could possibly impact your standing with the other members. I mean...who misspells road?
I'd say a good part of that is strategy although his marriage might be on the rocks as well. I don't know. His wife is effin FINE! , his house is loaded, and he's got a brand new Caddy. If anyone needs the money, it's definitely not Brian. He was embarrassed when he won the video from home because he did not want others to see his lifestyle. He was afraid it could be held against him and cost him the million. Didn't Brian say he held back tears? Again this could be a strategic move not showing weakness.
Jan and Helen screwed up big time. They should have paired up with Ted to boot Clay then Brian off. Then they could have gotten rid of Ted and been the two left for the final vote. I think Helen believes her bond with Brian is stronger than it really is and Brian and Clay will get rid of her next. I hope Jan shocks them all and wins the final imunity and then boots Brian, because I think she could win the vote against Clay. It's been fun to watch, regardless.
You had to arrange cards with weird-looking letters to make a two word phrase. In the heat of the moment, Brian spelled out "RAOD TRIP." It was an easy mistake to make, especially with those crazy letters. He shouldn't have blurted it out, though.
I can't believe Clay is still around. He is the most worthless person on the show in my opinion. They were complaining of how much of a slacker he was early on. Yet...he is still around. If Jan's the one who was crying over that dead bat, then she should be gone too. If your that emotional over a dead bat, then you have problems. I would hate to see what she does whenever she passes roadkill here in the states. She must attend a lot of funerals. Oh...look...there's a dead cockroach...let's bury it and cry for a few hours .
exactley. brian is a smart man for taking clay with him to the finals. if they were smart they would have kept skater dude around. no one would have voted for him to win it all. these people are stupid...
If they were smart they would have kept a person from the other tribe around for a little longer to make them look like they had no alliances. They shot them down along tribal lines. Not smart considering the majority of the jury is the other tribe.
Yeah...but Granny (whatever her name is) could fill that role as well. Granny and Clay in the finals . Tough choice for the jury. One thing about Clay, though...is he has some smarts. He did really well in that one immunity challenge with the symbols where they had to translate them into letters to figure out directions. As far as Brian's wife, I never did get a decent look at her when the each member had a significant other visit. It was like they were avoiding showing a frontal of her or something. I assume she was hot but I couldn't get a good look at her. At first, I thought Ted was gay when a man visited him. They seemed to be the focal point for the camera. Then I found out he was his brother.
It doesn't really matter, though, because the final two will be from the opposite tribe. They will have to vote for someone, whether like voting a person from the other tribe as the final winner or not. Now it just comes down to who was nicest to who, and who screwed who over the least. You guys may be right about Brian misspelling the word wrong. The letters were crazy, but from what I saw of them, I didn't think the 'a' and 'o' were that similar to each other. I have to admit that Brian is playing the game the best...I just don't like the guy. It drives me crazy to hear Helen tell her husband that she wouldn't vote off Brian because she thinks he is the only one that has been honest with her and she thinks he is a good guy. Come on, people! He has alliances with EVERYONE. There is no way he is being fully honest. That is a good point about Clay. The best he can hope for is making the final 2. Which considering the prize, isn't bad at all. We know that Jake won't vote for Clay, and since Jake was kind of the leader of the other tribe's council members, he will probably tell them about the b****ing Clay did. I must say that this is the most interesting season I have seen for a while now. I am enjoying this.
I was very glad to see Ted get voted off; it took them long enough. I was hoping to see Jake win it all, but now I'm guessing either Jan or Brian will win, depending on the challenges & winners. Brian has been playing fair... a million dollars is at stake, you'd e playing the same way. This is all about strategy, not necessarily honesty !! Although, if he makes it to the final 2 it could bite him in the rear depending on who else makes it to the jury... I'd like to see Clay win just cuz I think he's hilarous; of course, he's prlly not the best candidate to win, since he does whine, is a sour loser, & is lazy, but he does have alot of personality.... as does Jan. The person I dont want to see win is Hellen, ugh. For some reason "recipe-girl" drives me nutz. Nest week will be great. I think we are having a "survivor party" / birthday part for my boyfriend at my parents house, neither my mom or I want to miss it. And when u record, its just not the same. Anyone planning on submitting an application for the next Survivor? Also, i found seasons 1 & 2 of Survivor on DVD, but does anyone know if they come on VHS?
Just out of curiosity...how many of you believe Ted's story about what happened with Ghandia? Ghandia seemed like a total psycho after it happened...but that doesn't mean it didn't happen. I was inclined to believe Ted's story up until last night. I'm thinking that if Helen had shown even the slightest bit of affection towards Ted when he was drunk, Ted would have gone after her.
Freaking Brian... Although I must admit I am glad that most of the contestants finally realized what a snakoil salesman Brian was. I don't know about you guys, but I really want to know what it was the Brian said about Ted and that the New York dude was trying to get him to admit to.
Well, Brian was my pick from the get go. I admit that I thought Clay had a legit shot for a while after hearing the jury members blast Brian. Unfortunately, I lost our annual family Survivor bet for the fourth year running (we draw names out of a hat -- I got Jan).
I find it rather humorous that Brian, the cool and calculating car salesman, was able to manipulate the other contestants so easily. Helen, Jan, Clay and Ted were putty in Brian’s hands. It almost wasn’t fair to put a trained car salesman up against a bunch of overly emotional nitwits.
