I do. A Suzuki DRZ 440 Supermoto A Street Fighter Yamaha R6 and two dirt bikes, a Honda 125 2-Stroke and Suzuki 250 2-Stroke.
Fair enough. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. I never got much of a thrill from riding a motorcycle but I understand other people do. It must be a hell of a rush if it motivates people to do something that practically guarantees their death or a severe injury should they (or anyone else on the road) make even the tiniest mistake. I wonder what the statistics are regarding motorcycles (deaths per year per riders, % of fatalities per accident etc.). The only people I know who ride motorcycles are either dead or have parts of their bodies made of metal now thanks to the broken bones they sustained in the accident.
If I were king for the day, the first thing I'd do is melt down every Harley and Harley wannabe that has a decibel level over that of your average car. Those damn things are too damn loud and the damn people that ride them are obviously damn selfish, because they don't mind that their phallic pastime ruins the sleep, solitude, and general good moods of everyone else. The whole cult of Harley is an ad-driven absurdity aimed primarily at boys who are still trying to figure out what it means to be a man. Is it really necessary for me to hear your motorcycle through my windows and walls? Why does your motorcycle drown out my music when you pull up next to me at a stop sign? Are you so lacking in self-esteem that you have to ride something that makes everyone look at you because the sound is so annoying? Why must you ride in places that are usually quiet, like forests and parks? Don't you know that all that noise scares the hell out of wildlife and ruins the experience for everyone else? Why are there groups of you that ride in staggered fashion so that nobody... even a vehicle responding to a fire... can pass you? Why is it you think you're a rebel or an individual, yet you all dress the same way? These damn things are a scourge.
^ I agree completely. I think you'd get a kick out of this South Park episode if you haven't already seen it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_F_Word_(South_Park)
You sound like my cuz. I had just rode my bike from San Antonio to McKinney. As I got off the bike he called me a wus because I had a shield on the bike. He knew nothing about bike riding but decided all bikers with shields were wussies. What rim? Did you fall off your Honda 350 and never got back on? Anyway, a  F-you King
There are NO guarantees in life and really, you're reaching for outliers to form your opinion. And for god sakes, get out and meet some good riders. Sound like everybody you know were turrible on a bike.
Yeah I am engaged and about to be married in less then a month. My riding time as dwindled down to nada in over 8 months. My Big Dog Chopper has sat in my garage collecting dust for 8 freaking months! The day I thought that would happen
Isn't California the only place where it's legal to split traffic? I thought so anyway. I think Arizona is/was debating allowing it recently, too. I don't know what it's like in Houston, but there are idiots here on the North Dallas Tollway that pop wheelies at 60+ mph down the freeway. The urge to swerve into their lane as they do it has crossed into my mind, but then sanity checked in - I don't want to wreck my car. It's crazy... these guys are popping wheelies, standing on their seats, etc.
I didn't even have to open the link, I absolutely bawled during that show. "Vrrmmm vrmm vrm vrmm vrmm" "F@gs!" Now everytime a Harley biker rides by I make it a point to call them f@gs.
That's not the only thing they freaking ride like 2 inches within your back bumper and I can't stand when people tail me even cars. I slow down real slow and piss them off more and I can't help to have a smile on my face afterward too.
I currently own 2, but haven't ridden in a couple years, maybe more. I'll probably start riding again this year, to save gas. I don't ride like an idiot, but in the past I did ride very fast, but not in traffic. Taking it to the track is much more fun, and safer. Texas World Speedway used to be a regular stop for me. Good times. Other endeavors interest me more these days, so my hobby riding is over for now, but I'll commute some more soon.
i had some fool do the same to me a little while back. he flew right between the car just behind me on the other lane when I was just about to switch lanes too. luckily i check my side mirror before i switched lanes cause the guy was flying so fast I didn't even hear him coming til he just passed me and he was on chopper too.
