There will be no Rudy T. bashing in my thread. Especially not from the guy who said I had no knowledge of basketball, and then didn't reply to my reply... Or something.

    Carry on.

An exhibition game is hardly compelling enough to alleviate the very legitimate concerns that many have about Steve being more focused on distributing and defense and less on scoring than he has shown himself capable to be in the past.

Do you guys think that Yao Ming's arrival hindered EG's development?

We were expecting to go to him EXTENSIVELY in the post, to help him develop his post game, to go inside then out with HIM. Suddenly, we hit the lottery, and it's over. All he gets is the end of some broken plays, and he has to work to get putbacks. Whenever he actually gets the ball, he takes the shot, because he knows the ball is never coming back.

Maybe its the coaching staff's fault that SG hasn't developed properly?

it's Yao without question. if he wants to become the best of the bests and the Rockets want to build a team around him he definitely is the person who needs to improve the most.

I don't think it's Yao in this case, although it's not EG's fault either. I don't know any other PF that camps out on the 3pt line (don't say Antoine Walker, he's a sissy). I know of many teams that can run a successful high post low post game with their 5 and 4. It is definitely true that Yao took away shots from EG whom let's face the fact, is second string now. But I think one problem is that our PGs (cough cough) are just not good enough to pass down to the low post (even to a 7'5 Yao), so how good/how many times do you think they'll pass down to EG. So I think he kind of developed the mentality that if he wants the ball he has to go out and park on the 3pt line hoping for a pass, despite of his horrible shooting skills. This is why I can EG a lost cause (unless he's traded out of Houston of course).

    BINGO!!! i agree whole heartedly.

the same thing happened to jason collier. i think it's yao's fault that collier didn't develop to be an impact player in this league although he certainly had the potential. it's sad. i say that we trade yao.

    OS,

    1) You're comparing EG to Collier

    2) You're trading the franchise player rather than the role player

You expect anyone to dignify that post with a well thought-out reply, rather than a negative-reaction post like this one?
