who has played better than last year...statistically or just by what you see

    Rafer Alston, Luther Head then Tmac .. IMO

    Battier and Head

    Battier's offense: post move and midrange shooting.

    Head's offense : driving to the basket, midrange shooting, passing.
    defense: steal

    Rafer's simply because he is finishing better on layups and floaters. His 3 point shot is as streaky as ever, but he isn't a 40% finisher in the lane any more.


    BTW, Rafer's improved play goes back to before the streak. It was more obvious during the streak because Yao wasnt there for almost half of it so he was asked to do more.

    For those who think that Rafer has improved you better look at his stats again, he is just about at his career averages as a Rocket....

    3pt shooting is actually down a bit and the rest is nearly identical.

    So, I think the glare of the winning streak has clouded some people's minds.
