In this playoffs, I feel Roy gave the rockets more trouble. I am not that impressed by Kobe.

I chose Kobe. He is doing everything. He is scoring around 30 a game. What else do you want? His teammates just don't always play hard.

Roy attacked the rim more, and made the rockets players in foul trouble.

So far, they both played 6 games against the rockets in this playoffs.

Kobe went to the line 36 times, 30-36 .833

Roy went to the line 46 times, 40-46 .870

The biggest difference between the Blazers and Lakers is experience and a legit third option who can do it all in Lamar Odom.

Roy usually made the right decision, shot when had a chance, but passed when he should've. He was perfect textbook execution (coach's delight).

Kobe, when he is out of position, or not in form, still looks to score. This is actually helping the Rockets more.

I agree with Heydude and Ron's choice of words...

Watching these games makes it seem like Roy is better. I mean that guy makes the right decisions and just flat out plays. Not gonna say Kobe isn't a monster also but Roy doesn't have the team Kobe does...

I went with Kobe, since most of the time in the series he has gotten into Ron's head. Not to mention he elbowed him a lot.

Brandon Roy was more consistent against us though. Kobe has been pretty inconsistent against us due to Shane Battier.

Kobe got much better help from his teammates.

Protland's No2, Aldridge is not even better than Scola.

I'll go with Roy. He was simply better.

Had Kobe and Roy swapped teams before the first round the Rockets would have beat Portland easier but already lost to LA in 6 games or less.

Roy, but I think only because Artest was too slow for him. Maybe Shane would have done better on Roy.

Roy because it seemed like he could get the shots that he wanted. Kobe for the most part is getting shots that we want him to take.

Roy scored his points within the flow of the game, leading to more points by his team mates.

Kobe is just a scorer, in the mold of T-Mac or AI...only better.

I know it sounds cliched, but it's just how it is. I've watched it with my own eyes. Too bad Roy never had Shaq.

I chose Roy because it seemed so effortless for him to get into the paint in that first round series. Kobe's been almost completely limited to shooting jumpers.

If I recall correctly, Roy likes to use pick and rolls to get to the rim and get his shot off while Kobe doesn't really use it that much.

I guess a good followup question would be: Given the Rockets' current injury situation, would the Blazers/Roy have been able to eliminate Rockets in the 3 post-yao games?

Stop comparing Roy to Kobe. Kobe is in a whole different class.
