This is why Howard needs to develop a consistent hook shot. He can try and dominate all of the other centers in the NBA with his strength, but if can't even score over Glen Davis and Kendrick Perkins, then his offensive game is very limited. There were a couple of times during today's game where he tried to push and move his way into Perkins or Davis and it didn't work. Instead of passing out and reposting, Howard just bullied his way up and threw up a prayer of a shot. Shaq in his prime and Dwight right now are just physically intimidating players. They'll push and get their position against most of the league. But Shaq had great footwork and he had a soft touch around the basket while Howard lacks both.
