Voted other, intended to be Ariza. His defense was the #1 biggest factor in why the Rockets were good last year, and it just hasn't been there this season. Maybe he just got tired of bailing Harden out every play, but whatever the reason, it's a huge part of why the Rockets suck.

you do realize he has to guard about 3 guys at the same time and the rockets team defense sucks as a whole? he has been lazy this season but thats cuz of how bad the rockets are.

They key word here is 'disappointment'.

    That HAS to be Lawson.
Everyone was fired up when he came on board. We all thought he would
    be a difference maker.
    But it's been.....well.....a disappointment.

Brewer - no one expected him to make a major impact

Smith - wasn't even on the roster at the beginning.

    Capela - a bit of a disappointment

DMo - could be the runner up. Was hoping he would be healthy and make
an impact. But still, his surgery and injury still had us feeling tentative, but
    hopeful.

Has to be Lawson. Been pretty non-existent so far. Sorry to see that

The answer is obviously Lawson, though I am eternally hopeful that he can be valuable. He cannot play with Harden, because that utilizes none of his strengths and exposes his weaknesses. Lawson need to be a creator off the dribble for cutters, shooters, and big men rolling to the rim. Parking him in the corner without the ball like he is Bruce Bowen is stupid.

Brewer's play should not surprise anyone. He has always been a limited player that relies on athleticism and energy. He was used correctly by McHale, who seemed to understand his game. Bickerstaff relies on him for too much and plays him too many minutes. You bring Brew in for one or two 8-10 minutes pushes in a game to inject energy and chaos, you don't expect him to start, play low risk defense, and shoot threes on terrible bail out passes.

Harden's embarrassing defense is a major, major issue, and if he improved it, that would probably have a huge effect on the outlook of the team. Maybe he is saving it for the playoffs or something. (Playoffs? PLAYOFFS?) That said, his performance is not surprising enough to be profoundly disappointing.

Remember when Brewer would do anything to win? We'd be down 10, 12, 15 with a few minutes left and the rest of the guys were packing it up, and he'd just say screw it, I'll do it myself, and he'd will us right back into the game. Now he just can't do anything right, God bless him.

To the people saying Brewer, a disappointment is great the higher the expectations and the worse the player performs.

Ty was supposed to be all star caliber and a part of our big 3.

The guy is so bad that I sometimes forget he's on our team. He literally does nothing while he's on the court. Nothing.

You can at least think of some positive for brewer, and he's nobody expected him to be remotely close to all star level.

I was in complete belief Ty was going to solve the weakness of the offense we saw in the 2015 Play-offs. Teams would attack Harden when he was on the perimeter force him to make a weak or dangerous pass which was usually a turnover or to a player that couldn't put the ball on the floor to attack the rim. The other train of thought was Harden was working too much to run the offense and Ty could give him more rest. Lawson has just never got in a groove at ALL. Borderline All-star for what should have been a 20th or greater pick in the draft. We all felt like it was the steal of the year. This has been a shock.

Brewer was a 3-6 min blast of energy per quarter on this team last year. Every once and a while he looked AWESOME and McHale would ride him out, but every once in a while he looked dreadful and McHale would pull him. The rest of the time he was a decent bench player and the chemistry was great with the band of brothers. This year he just isn't the same bench player. Bench players have up and down seasons, that's why they are bench players. He is disappointing but not at the degree Lawson is for this team.

D-Mo's health is disappointing but if you've ever had a back issue you aren't surprised.

Harden not committing himself in the off season after the WC Finals loss the way Magic, Bird, Dream, Jordan, or Kobe Bean Bryant would have was disappointing. It pains me to say it but he doesn't have that level of "I'm going to show them..." attitude, maybe with maturity like the Dream did, he'll get it. He'll work on his game all year long to be the best. Again disappointing but not really surprised because this level of greatness is HARD to find in a player.

This isn't an opinion poll, there is a right answer and it's Ty Lawson. Not only has he not been as good as hoped, he's been a catastrophe. He's been our worst player. Never in my worst nightmares did I think Lawson could be this bad.

Harden has been a big disappointment, but he's still been a great player overall. Brewer has been terrible, but at his best he's a role player. Jones has been abysmal as well, if not for Lawson he would be our worst player, but disappointment requires expectations.

The biggest disappointment about Brewer is that he got that contract this summer and now we're stuck with him. On the court, though, he's absolutely more effective than Lawson, which is saying a whole lot about Lawson...
