After reading all the comments about Mike James, the Dennis Green press conference comes to mind. :)

I do expect T-Mac to get his act togeher when he comes back. Seeing his new team beat his old team made him feel a lot better about leaving Orlando. The Rockets play lately will also motivate him to get to the playoffs and fight as a team.

I don't really care if T-Mac cruises through the regular season as usual...but he better bring his A-game for the playoffs...and some clutchness... (I guess that's not a real word :)).

It has to be MJ, given our expectation of him, a second chance, and his salary. It took Jhoward in order to get MJ.

we have all the expectationof him to become our 3rd or 4th firing power.

SF was a disappointment too, but he came cheap and that at least worth a rental like bonzi.

    Tmac is Tmac nothing much.

alston is an disappointment, but he has recup some of his bad reps in recent games.

For me it has to be Tmac.

Sure James and Francis have dissappointed, but they were both low risk opportunities to try to improve the team.

But Tmac not embracing the system or the team oriented game was a huge dissappointment.

He was saying all the right things, but then when the games started he reverted to his old ways of dominating the ball, or initiating almost all of the offense, and not playing very hard on defense.

Then he gets injured, and seems to take longer than most people to recover from injuries...and lo and behold the team comes together and starts to play TEAM oriented ball that is a helluva lot more fun to watch.

And players that were asked to shoot off of a pass from Tmac...after having barely touched the ball are suddenly thriving in the "Everyone touches it" offense.

I am hopeful for an epiphany from Tracy and that when he comes back he blends in.....if I was Rafer I would not pass it to him at the top of the key unless it was the last play fo the quarter......get Tmac moving and the team can really take off.

So for me, Tmac and his mini rebellion has been the biggest dissappointment.

Mike James by far, he's healthy and has mailed it in since the first week of the season

I can't vote for any of these...to me, the biggest disappoint so far this season has been:

    Rocket's fans.

For not having any patience for Rick Adelman to install a new offense and time for the players to adopt to a new system and other players to get healty...and for buying into the b.s. hype spewed by two-bit analysts and pundits.

    That's the biggest disappointment.

So in your world, all Rocket fans have great big happy smiles on their faces, no matter how the team is performing?? Are you saying that they are immune to criticism?? Damn, dude - we should just all go out and have lobotomies done if that's the case.

I don't think he is saying that, but I agree that the Rocket fans now are just horrible. People talk about Mavs fans and Laker fans being pretty bad, well I don't think Rocket fans are any better. This site use to be very respectable. Great discussions all around, but now that is a rarity. Nobody is saying that we have to be all smiles all the time, but the intelligence on this board is at a all time low. There are a handful of great posters, but the rest are pretty bad.

I don't disagree with you that the intelligence on this board gets bad at times; I just took issue on how his post read. He made it sound that even constructive criticism should not be allowed. That is what I have a problem with.

I only voted for Francis because he hasn't produced anything. Maybe because Adelman doesn't give him a chance but the fact Mike James (worst player so far on the team) and a rookie get more playing time says enough.

    I voted for Francis because.

I think he still can do it but just won't. He can still drive, rebound and get the opponent into foul trouble, go to the line and make game winning plays at the end of games.

As for TMAC. If he is the next Ken Griffey, the Rox are much better than the Reds and Griffey still had one hell of a season last year.

I voted for Mike James. I hadn't seen Francis do anything in years that made me think he was going to be able to contribute to the Rockets. I thought James would be able to be a spark off the bench or maybe even start. But, he hasn't done anything.

I'd vote for the Rockets as a whole if I could. I'd like to say Rick, but really that's not fair to put it on him. I'd vote for for Les Alexander if that were an option. No matter how you viewed Van Gundy, you don't change the coach and then expect to be better and win a championship because the new coach will be more "offensive minded". You can't take a team built on defense and then suddenly expect them to be athletic and offensive minded and be successful. We didn't just change coaches, we changed philsophy on playing. That's something you do when it's time to scrap it and start rebuilding. It's one thing to fire a coach and hire another one with a similar style that can be successful, but RA and JVG are different ends of the spectrum.

At least this poll proves some people simply just hate players period without any logic to it whatsoever. I can understand the dissapointment in TMac, Mike James and Steve Francis (although 2 of the 3 have been injured). how any other player received a vote is beyond me.

Actually, in my world, people wait until the team is healthy and has a chance to get used to a completely different system before people ridiculously attack the players and coaches.

How that is equivalent to getting a lobotomy is pretty insane. Perhaps you just want to be unhappy?
