Curry will make the all star team before Lowry will. I also wouldn't be at all surprised if Harris, Felton or Parker all make the all star team over Lowry. Or even Conley if he becomes the man in Memphis.
I guess I chose a poor taste in wording. Lowry could make the all star team as an injury reserve, or as a coaches' "hey this team is doing decent and they don't have an all star, I guess I'll throw them a bone and add Lowry"
Who cares what "people" think? As long as our guy wins/ties his matchups against the best of the best, I am happy. The ESPNites and their boxscore watchers can debate who is better, but it is trivial & beyond meaningless to me...
It honestly comes down to if we are winning.Winning brings acknowledgment. They have to know who you are to vote for you. What can you really expect from Nash next year? Less mins, AB stealing his spot? What if it isn't a next year? Kyle is an improving 25 year old, nash is 35 or something. That's 10 years Lowry has to make an ASG
You give your opinion on who wins a matchup between Rondo and Lowry. I reply with another comparison showing your weak ass assumption means nothing. Then you reply with "who cares"?
As it looks like right now, we won't be doing enough winning to bring a lot of attention to our team. Spurs, Lakers, Mavs, Thunder, Grizzlies, Trail Blazers should all be better than us. We'll be fighting with the Nuggets, Hornets (with CP3) Jazz and Clips for the last two spots.
Try reading that again, but this time don't selectively choose portions that aid your argument, and simply toss aside the parts that don't. I never once called him elite, in fact, all I commented on was his overall work ethic/approach to the game, not his ability. He's willing to work to BECOME an elite PG.
I'm willing to work at being an elite NBA guard also, sadly just because I'm working towards it doesn't mean a damn thing.
IIRC, Lowry became one of the best NBA fantasy league pick ups toward the end of last season. He went from zero to hero in a small amount of time. I'm ready to see what he can do for a full season... if there ever is one.
I've grown to love Lowry. If he keeps up his shooting (or even gets better) then I hope he stays a Rocket for life. Well regardless if those things happen, I still want him to be a Rocket for life.
The only point guards I would trade Lowry for are: CP3 DWill DRose Rondo Rubio I might consider Steph Curry and John Wall......might.

Man, this was a great read. “To be honest, I think I want to be the leader of the team. I think I’m going to be the guy that pushes this team to the limit and as I go, we go. We have great scorers in myself, Kevin and Luis and Chase. We have the great offensive players that we need to score points, but I’m going to be the guy that pushes guys and being that leader, and being a vocal guy, going out there and showing that last year wasn’t just a temporary thing. That’s who I am. I’m going to be a successful starting point guard in this league and I want to be an elite point guard in this league. I think my role is just going to be stepping my game to be an elite point guard.” - Kyle Lowry When I read that, I was just getting so pumped for next year. This lockout better end soon, LOWRY's YEAR IS COMING. Easily my favorite rocket.
So you're saying you wouldn't trade a 13.5/6.7/4.1/1.4/.03 .426% guy for 21.9/8.2/4.6/1.9/.04 .442% you would make an interesting NBA GM.
ooooooooh shoot! you're treading on thin ice with that "career backup" comment. it might explode this thread lol
Didn't this entire article talk about how Lowry has consistently been underrated and had to work and fight to get where he's at. Haven't we seen him get better and better every year? Why would this all of the sudden stop? If Lowry plays the way he did after the all star break, he WILL be a top ten point guard. KYLE LOWRY: AFTER ALL STAR BREAK 16.8 PPG 7.3 APG 9 RPG
