i can see minnesota dealing kevin garnett but if mchale gives him to the lakers in a straight up two-team trade, and they're not getting kobe in return, then mchale is a jacka$$.

their tradeable assets are an extremely overrated bynum and a mid-round draft pick. no way should they be sniffing garnett and i wouldn't be in any hurry to help out kobe and the freaking lakers. then again, we got t-mac for francis.

I would love to see Kevin Garnett and Kobe Bryant on the same team...in the east.

The NBA does not need another "super power" in the west. Although, after this trade, the Lakers would have no bench at all.

I love how the lakers team/ fans/ owner are the most dilusional people on earth. Jerry Buss would rather have a superstar playing with 4 piles of crap than have 5 decent players who can win more games but wont make the allstar team. And then he decides to trade all his crappy overhyped players for a superstar and the LA media and fans all think its a legitamate deal. lol. lets trade the whole team for the 20 10 guy. so our combined team stats can be 50 points and 15 rebounds per game. that's gonna win you basketball games. btw just kobe and garnett does not equal superpower. they need more guys on the team that arent ****.

let's just assume...Minny 'blows it up' garnering draft choices and expiring contracts...do you really think K-Mc is the man to assemble a new team from the ashes?

uhhh...every GM in the league would rather have two superstars and 3 POS' than 1 superstar and 4 mediocre players.

KG and Kobe on the same team is bad enough. The other trade rumor I heard is KG to the Suns without trading Amare, KG and Amare plus Steve Nash, that to me would be the most dominant team in the west. Hope it doesn't happen, we'll never win a championship then.
