    The could renounce his Bird rights which would open up cap money. Doubt they do this to Lee but it is possible.

    If it is indeed Smith, that's unfortunate because I thought he had decent potential. There might've been some friction from his camp and the Rockets for not being given enough playing time in summer league even though he's working with the coaches in Houston all summer. He might actually want out himself to get a better opportunity since he could feel undervalued not getting enough summer league burn.

    They're definitely not going to cut him. If he is gone it's probably through via trade. They also could have let him out of his contract if he got a better offer elsewhere.

    So, basically he was being punished.

    I hope it's Simpson, as Bima and others have stated we could use those non-guaranteeds on the Howard trade. Plus Leuer has proven to be a serviceable player.

    Hopefully it's Brockman or Simpson.
