When Wes brings it up, I'm nervous. When Moochie or Head brings it up, I'm pulling my hair out. Head just makes rookie mistakes with the ball, being a rookie and all. Moochie, hell, you don't even have to guard him and he'll find a way to turn it over. God I hate Moochie.

Wes doesn't get near enough credit for what he does for this team. He's not perfect and it doesn't help that he's usually playing out of position, but he's crucial to our success right now. He's 3rd in importance behind TMac and Yao.

Initially I was shocked that Moochie was in the game at all last night, let alone in the fourth quarter. I actually took his being in the game as a sign that JVG had given up on winning. If you notice, one it got close (in the last minute) he immediately yanked Moochie out. I think JVG just gave up on the game too early and got bailed out by some clutch shooting.

Actually (and no, I'm not drunk), aside from the turnover I like the way Moochie controls the floor when he is out there. He tries to get in position to make the best pass inside and doesn't waste a lot of time doing it. We loved moochie a few years ago for his attitude and his moments in the clutch, given a little more time I think he can be a solid piece to the puzzle.

they're all backups on contending teams IMHO... those late turnovers were fluky but you know starting talent wouldn't let that happen ... sura wouldn't let that happen, and alston wouldn't either

well, that's better than it bouncing off his face and going out of bounds, isn't it? Then he'd look like a moron. :D

While I tend to agree that I don't like Moochie in the game, he did have a HUGE play last night. If you can remember when we were down 6 with about 2 min to go or so I believe, someone missed a shot and the rebound came right to a GSW player. Moochie came flashing in and stole the ball, and I think we ended up with T-Mac dishing to Wesley at the top of the key for a 3 pointer. If it wasn't for that hustle play from the Mooch we don't win the game.

    Question:

Do you guys remember, back in the Rudy T days, when Moochie could actually make a three point shot? What happened to that? He always passes on wide open 3's (he has in both his tenures here with JVG and the end of the Rudy erea). When he does take them (occasionally), he misses badly. Am I wrong in recalling that when we first got him, he could hit the 3? What good is a pg who cannot hit an outside shot???

    I don't think he ever had a high % 3 point game.

I'm nervous when Wes dribbles it up.

Not too nervous when Moochie does though, I figure if he can do something it's dribbling. We have seen this quite often in the Chat Room over the years:

    Moochie
    dribbles
    dribbles
    dribbles
    dribbles
    dribbles
    dribbles
    dribbles
    passes to Yao
    backs
    turns
    passes to Moochie
    dribbles
    dribbles
    dribbles
    dribbles
dribbles the shot clock to 1 shoots....miss.

    "Who gets nervous when Moochie.."

    "Yes."

"But you didn't let me finish the question."

"I know, but the answer is yes."

What if the question ends with "... is sitting on the bench waving a towel." ;)

When I watched Wesley bring the ball up the court..I was thinking..he can't dribble! And I don't know if Baron Davis or the other defenders were thinking that..but BD could have ripped Wesley a lot..he did some swipes at the ball. Wesley's play seems better than his play earlier in the season.

Totally shared your feeling. Moochie is good for chemistry, keep him off the court and let him run jokes on the guys. He should be a cheer leader on the bench.

We could really use a healthy Rafer right now.
