Who Finishes With The Better Record: Spurs Or Rockets?

It doesn't really matter. If you care that much about the difference between the fifth, sixth, and seventh picks you might care a little too much, just sayin'

 

If we are at the bottom already, u gotta do whatever u can to avoid screwing yourself over the wemby sweepstake. Imagine getting the 7th pick instead of the 1st, something u could easily avoid by losing just one more than the spurs.

Ideally in the wemby sweepstake, the most ideal spot is being dead last, but idk if we can overtake the pistons

 

Our chances at getting the first pick don't change by being the third worst instead of the actual worst, my man. They're literally exactly the same. The only thing that changes is whether our worst case is the 5th, 6th, or 7th picks and the relative odds of landing those picks.

 

The Spurs are actually cat fighting in every other 2 games.

 

which is why u do your best to avoid being put in that situation.

why risk 7% of getting a 7th pick when u can just take one more L than the spurs.

 

As we've discussed a lot, this would be an NBA-destroying scandal, there would be too many people involved to keep it secret, and the risks are just too great for the league & owners.

But, even if it was rigged, I'd argue that means it matters even less whether we finish the worst or the third worst, since the league would just be picking and choosing between the worst teams and deciding who they want to win it.

 

Yeah because most conspiracy theories are a bunch of bullsh** pushed by people who lack critical thinking skills. Some conspiracies are real, and it's good to cultivate a skeptical attitude in life and to always seek the truth--but there's a difference between being skeptical and making a positive assertion that a conspiracy exists without being able to back that up with hard data and evidence.

 

It wont be a NBA destroying scandal because they now call it entertainment so that covers them from being sued for that type of fraud, and if the rogue ref scandal and past tweets from players congratulating teams on getting the first pick when the draft selection hasn't even started did nothing but put a small dent on the product, then its pretty safe to say any said scandal will be greatly neutralized

Similar to how everybody basically went mute when someone just recently accused the golden boy face of the league for using PEDs allegedly

The 4 major sports may not be as blatantly scripted as a WWE match, but its out there and starts at the prior level where certain players in NCAA said to have shaved points allegedly

It is what it be, regardless how we feel about it

 

The conspiracy theorist (word of art) was created to discourage those from doing the proper critical thinking and research because Truth and Falsehood are strangely mixed in modern society

A lot of news put out is not of substance, just like the past plandemic didn't have any hard data/evidence to back what it was saying it would do as far as preventing/curing, it was just pushed on to the masses to take the jab, and the so called conspiracy theorists called it what it really was, as it was mentioned in a couple books years ago saying it would hit in 2020

 

Wouldn't destroy the NBA because there would still be no proof, just testimony. Sam as Donaghy and the referee scandal, they'll throw money at it and minimize it and there won't be enough evidence in court to charge the NBA directly.

I'm not sure it's rigged but I think it's possible. If you're being honest, with a basically infinite budget you can definitely think of a way to rig this thing. You can. I can. Silver can. I've audited the 3 of the big 4 auditors and I can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt that as much as possible they want to be able to make their client happy and come back for more business. So don't put stock on that dog and pony show of them delivering the briefcase and all that nonsense. I'm more concerned they need to so strongly do marketing for how legit the thing is lol. They can just deliver that stuff to the owners privately, but they make it a point to market it to us.

Why not? It's an entertainment business. They want the most entertaining product. It's their business.

 

The NBA is a collection of owners, and they have to convince other potential buyers that an NBA franchise is a good idea to throw money in. It's why the "life support" franchises like New Orleans got #1 picks after losing both Chris Paul and Anthony Davis, with their ownership issues, a sale could come at any moment.
I'm reasonably certain that the Rockets only kept their pick in 2021 because turning a newly bought team into the mid 2010s Nets but with no hope of attracting free agents is a terrible message to prospective owners.

 

It is a great investment though as it always goes up in value.....

If the Rockets and Spurs end up with the same record, what decides the seeding?

 

Since they both have the same number of lottery balls, their probability of landing a top-4 pick is the same, but in case they both land outside the top-4, the ties are broken before the lottery by random drawing.
