You may be right. I suppose in my eyes, he currently has the skillset of a 3 guard.

I'm curious why he did not play last year. He can drive and shoot.

    My guesses are that:

    • Brewer should get as many minutes as available

    • KJ needed time to learn our team concepts and strategy

    • KJ is new to the NBA in general and the Rockets are trying to win it all right now while Dwight is around.

    • We got a team option on him now...

Sam Dekker says hi. I think this is the very reason we drafted Dekker after his shooting performances in the tournament. He will be our PF that can pick and pop from anywhere (hopefully).

    Dekker is not a PF.

Dekker is virtually the same size as Rashard Lewis. He could be a stretch 4 at times like how Lewis played that role on the Orlando Dwight playoff teams.

People are so infatuated with this. Name an available stretch 4 who doesn't totally suck at defense and who could be available. I don't understand why ppl get all excited about players with offensive capabilities who give up more on the defensive end.

I'm sure he could. He would be perfect in small ball line-ups.

A stretch 4 concept went out of the window. ..Howard sucks as a post up player he will not get double teamed. He is gonna miss Josh throwing him lobs from the 4 spot. Just ask the Mavs it was embarrassing .

A stretch 4 isn't just for Howard. It is for Harden and TyLaw. It gives them more room to penetrate without having to worry about help defense, because Howards guy isn't coming off of him to help when Harden and TyLaw get into the paint. That is why Josh Smith worked so well with Howard. He was the penetrator and the Ariza/Harden/Terry served as the stretch 4 from a positional standpoint. Once Josh Smith got passed his man from the top, there was no one to help without leaving Howard completely open.

Yeah, ask the Mavs, a borderline lotto team. Then ask GSW how they feel about Josh.

No one cares about the GSW, they had their one fluke run but they'll never get that kind of luck again.

The highest I see golden state rank would be 4th but won't be making a championship run again unless everyone they play will be injured

Well that's exactly how they won last year so don't count the possibility out just yet. They might be voodooing their way to another ship

I see dorrel wright and boozer are still on the market. I wouldn't mind picking one of them up

Not sure where the minutes are for Wright. Boozer? He could play, but damn...I don't want to have to root for Boozer...

Ha trust me I use to hate boozer in the Tmac days. We had a three PF rotation with jones, smith and dmo. So boozer could fit that and slot in at C at times aswell. He's not a great defender but he's a 10 point 8 rebounder type of guy and can stretch the floor.

I think wright could get minutes. Brewer could easily take the SG back up spot and wright take the SF spot or vis versa. He would be quality insurance. Plus dekker and Harrell could easily be thrown in d league and Thornton could get limited minutes with wright aswell.

Umm Money? While developing him may have been a bonus, we definitely drove down his asking price by not playing him. And it worked.
