I'd imagine it's over. According to Stallone, one of the main reason that he made this movie was because Rocky V was so disappointing, and that he wanted to end on a high note. I'd say it's mission accomplished on that front. He'll have to be given an offer he can't refuse (i.e. a boatload of money) to make another Rocky movie, and I don't see the money being there. It took him years just to get the green-light on this Rocky movie.
I saw this move tonight and thought that it was really well made considering what a dud the last Rocky movie was. If you're a fan of the series, then you'll definitely enjoy this. I have to admit I got hyped up when the Rocky theme started playing during his training.
I was wondering -- why do you think the CGI fight premise was ridiculous? They do this on ESPN all the time with football games and basketball games. I thought it was actually a pretty neat idea considering that they actually do that in real life with the team sports.
Yeah but the idea that people would be so into it, like the people at the bar in the movie was a bit off. I saw it this weekend and thought it was decent but in the end thought it was more or less a retread of the original film, lots of scenes even the way the fight ended was extremely similar to the first Rocky flick. Was a good ending to the franchise but not a great one, they should have stopped with IV, I mean Rocky ended the freaking cold war
"Raging Bull". I'm not anti "Rocky", I really like part three with Mr. T. and I like part four, "I will break him". Those two have the best quotes, "What's your prediction for tonight's fight? Painnnnn"
