This is senseless. All TO had to do was not grant the interview, and ESPN should be ashamed of their level of professionalism in this whole ordeal because they pursued a story that was started with one of their own "analysts" opinion. They decided to make the news, instead of report the news, and they should not be free of blame in this mess. But at the end of the day, TO needs to just shut up and play football, and he can't do that. Furthermore, McNabb is a better QB than Favre at this point in their careers. Did TO/Irvin miss that 5 INT game last week, or did they just choose to selectively ignore it like everyone does with brett favre. Only boomer on the NFL today set criticized him for his laughable effort on the final play. If that was any other QB, he would have been torched by every panel of analysts. Furthermore, who in their right mind takes on TO's antics now. He has pissed off the niners, the ravens, and the eagles organizations in his tenure in the NFL. And, you know what TO: if you didn't want that contract then you shouldn't have signed it in the first place. It is that simple.

Owens is the best WR in the game. I don't mind his complaing/talking trash about the organization/team at all, he should complain/talk trash, he needs to get paid. He may deserve more money for what he produces and what not but there are better and more professional ways to go about it. He is doing it like a 3 year old. ESPN did a break down when all of this started, Owens' total salary last year was only beaten in the wide receiver department by Randy Moss and Marvin Harrison and they are players on the same level as Owens.
Its always everyone elses fault according to him. To be honest, I dont care what he does. But any NFL team that signs him has rocks in their head. As for players like him....I watch a lot of international sports and I cant think of anyone that trys to openly destroy the teams he plays for like TO.
Mark Eckel, of the Trenton Times, reports Philadelphia Eagles WR Terrell Owens had a fistfight with former defensive end and current team ambassador Hugh Douglas. The fight occurred in front of several of his teammates. According to one of the sources the Owens-Douglas fight "was like WWE Smackdown." Another source said both men threw at least two punches during the altercation and when it was over Owens challenged QB Donovan McNabb first and then everyone else in the room saying, "You want some. Anyone else want some." The Eagles refused to comment about the situation, other than the statement that revealed Owens' suspension. Shannon Sharpe just confirmed the story somewhat. Said Douglas was one of TO's supporters through everything. Owens called him a "hater" for some odd reason and they came to blows. TO's becoming one of the biggest sports jerks of all time.
T.O. needs a time out....put him in the corner WITHOUT pay and see how he likes it. He needs to learn respect....the man is a major cancer..... I agree, he's not stupid. He's just totally selfish and trying to throw a pity party for himself to try to manipulate the owners into giving him what he wants. I've got absolutely no respect for the guy. Trying to renegotiate a contract that he agreed to is not a sufficent reason to act the fool. I don't care if he is underpaid or not - the bottom line is that he agreed to it. Even if he doesn't want to honor his word and wants to renegoitate - to bring it into the media and to fight and criticize teammates is even more foolish.
