In Arizona (all of it) we don't have DST, it is great. I agree the best situation would to always be on DST (keep it set as the clock is in the summer), but having it always on standard time is better than the stupid switching twice a year.

And yes, DST is a tradition due to our previous agriculture based economy, but how many people still work in agriculture. They simply "turn off" DST this time a year and return to normal time, the time adjustment is for the summer not for the winter. Also, the problem with school kids going to school in the dark is because they start school too darned early. Studies are now showing are high school students brains are not fully working until a couple hours into the day. It was great when I went to college and only had trouble waking up for 10:00 or 9:30 classes.

I hate that it gets dark and cold so quickly. Good for nothing darkness and cold!

I hate winter, it depresses me. Gimme 100 degree weather everyday all day! Anyone like me?!
Everyone good luck this winter and keep your spirits up! I'll be trying!:(
