Or even a TSX? Because their rear brakes ****ing suck monkey ass balls. Brakes last longer than 20,000 miles or so, except for Accords from those years. When I got my oil change at the dealership in August, the dude told me to call this number to get a form for my brake pads. I understand now. Because the brakes are ****ing defective. Anyone else run into this problem? First thing tomorrow, I have to call Honda Service Care or whatever. Now I have to take time out of my day to go to the dealership to fix it. I miss you Toyota Tacoma. You gave me awesome memories. Remember that one time in April when you packed a whole bunch of ClutchFaners in your bed and you took them from Live Sports Cafe to Toyota Center? Man that was awesome!!
Hm, dang so the brakes don't last that long? Something to keep in mind... I drive a Accord 08' with a little over 26,000 over it. My brakes seems fine though, sometimes I'll hear some squeaks but thats about it, and it works fine. The only thing that annoys me about this car is that it is just a fat **s car.
ah memories, good stuff so its true for all 2010 Accords? I have 2 other family members that own one, need to give them the heads up.
That is impossible. Only american cars have problems. My guess is you messed it up somehow because imported cars are perfect.
Go see if there's a recall or TSB on them. I have an '04 TL and the brake pads on those things last forever. I had defective brake pads replaced at around 15,000 miles. The next time I had to replace them was around 120,000 miles, I think. The rear pads are still on there from that 15,000 mile swap. I'm at around 153,000 miles on the car now. My 1988 Camry had to have new brake pads damn near every year when I lived in Houston. Lol.
Funny...I have an 08 Tacoma and I'm thinking of trading it in for an Accord. You may have just helped me avoid a bad decision. Gracias!
For some reason which I never cared to get into with anyone at the dealership, those year models just have excessive brake wear because of the system setup/design/blah blah blah. There was a class action lawsuit about it (you should have seen the notice in the mail), and Honda is going to pay for the cost (if any) for rear brake work within the first few years/XX thousand miles. The brakes on my accord lasted for 30K and could have gone for a few thousand more, so maybe you should adjust your driving style? And for those who are wondering, my car was actually made in Japan.
