I played 3 generations of each game, and I came to the conclusion that the 2k series just wasn't worth it. It was too much of an arcade game to even bother with. I don't enjoy having triple digits by the end of the 3rd quarter on the hardest setting with the Cleveland Browns (with either the computer at 0 points or the human at 90 or so points). Madden has a much more realistic gameplay engine. It also has a superior franchise mode--the only thing that matters after the gameplay.
NCAA 2k3 was lacking. I see lots of programming errors. but I liked NFL 2k3 a lot. I thought that was a great game. Especially the draft. Loved that. I haven't played Madden in about three years so I have no idea how it compares.
I can't wait for July 17th......f'ing vacation time fools EA owns Sega for the football franchise. Sega beats out EA for the basketball franchise. Live is so pretty and could have been a lot better.
I gave up the 2k series along time ago Madden and NCAA were just so much better. Keep them b*stard fans happy by winning. I'm a huge Redskins fan and i'm going to say i'm happy with Daniel Snyder as the owner. He might make a bunch of dumbass decisions but he's young and he wants to win. Peter Angelos doesn't want to win it seems
I agree that NBA 2K series is superior over the Live by EA. Football. I think I'm in denial that Madden is a better game than the 2K series. This year I think I'm going to recognize my denial and switch...
I was two hours away. BTW--I agree that EA Basketball blows chunks. Football and Basketball need separate physics, I don't think they've realized that yet.
First thing I'll do when I get NCAA 2004. It's a dilemna. Either become Rick Neuheisel and coach UT... Or create Eric Crouch and lead Nebraska to the national championship.
I like playing with a running QB. I like lining up with 5 wide outs for a hail mary, then scrambling your QB for 30 yards. If UH still has Nealy, he's pretty fast. And playing Rice's veer offense is fun too. Controlling that TOP and keeping the other offense off the field. Love the triple option. God, I love this game!!!
