I don't think I've agreed with a post as much in years.

Look towards the WNBA. They are fundamentalist and know how to work rotations. We could get a wonderfully positive disciplinarian, that can redirect without tearing people apart. Our team seems to have feminine traits anyway according to some. In time the athleticism will overtake the fundamentals bringing our team to a championship level. Pops like coaching without any San Antonio ties.

Someone that isn't soft and can discipline the players. And hold them accountable.

    Maybe JVG or Kenny Atkinson.

In all seriousness though Clutchfans has been on twitter for very long time and Clutch posts on there alot more than here from what ive seen. Also there are great youtubers like jackson gatling and swaggy (he's ok) who are also on twitter and instagram. I belong to a rockets group on facebook and several other NBA groups. There's an entire Rockets and basketball community out there you guys seem to be unaware of. Even after I joined I found this board to be toxic sometimes so I stopped posting for months. You think in that time I just stopped being a Rockets fan or was I discussing the Rockets somewhere else? No wonder this board is so crazy, you guys have created your own little bubble.

In hindsight I shouldn’t have said I was “joking with you” there. At that point I was still merely trying to be polite. I should have simply admitted right then and there that I was mocking you, it would have saved us both some time and aggravation. ;)

Tilman doesn't have the balls to hire Becky.

Also I'm not sure Becky leaves the Spurs. But she is a hard ass that would be perfect to coach our rather tumultuous youth.

The potential vileness of the insults here for Hammond when she leads us to a .220 stretch instead of the expected .250 while also not playing... Usman Garuba...the suggested 54 minutes per game make me shudder.

The real problem is on front office. first, they wanted to win while the situation was to rebuilt, did a lot of awful trades. then was forced to rebuilt, yet they are still using a defensive minded coach for developing drafted players. it is totally waste of time for everyone.

C'mon D....don't let these trolls fool you. No one can accelerate the
learning process. A pilot can look at books for a couple years but it
takes actually flying to understand what's going on. Log in flight time
of 1500 hours with co-pilot / instructor before getting pilots license.

The only way these players learn is with repetitions. Jalen Green is playing
Quarterback, what you call combo guard I call *point SG. Porter is now
3 years in the league but only about 85 games total. And only the 20
last year with Rockets and now about 11 games as playing point guard.

This is not just JVG having two raw point guards just bringing the ball
across mid court and dumping the ball to Ewing in the post. Times have
changed. It's a guard league. The video room doesn't show the cleaver
tricks of the trade like pulling on the jersey or bumping the elbow very
subtly or pulling the chair out the changes every night depending on the
opponent. Only reps teaches you that. Coaches can talk to you they are
blue in the face.....but it's the players that have to translate to actually
using the information from the chalkboard or whiteboard to the
    court.

    ------------
Kenny Atkinson won 20 games his first year and had better vets.
    *16/17 Atkinson's first year with Nets.....20 wins.....15th in East.
    17/18 Atkinson's second year w/ Nets....28 wins.....12th in East

    *16/17 roster:
Anthony Bennett #1 pick in the past
    Trevor Booker 6 yr vet
    Spencer Dinwiddle 2 yr vet
    Joe Harris 2 yr vet
    Justin Hamilton 2 yr vet
    Rondae Hollis-Jefferson 1 yr
    Caris LeVert rookie
    Brook Lopez 8 yr vet
    Luis Scola 9 yr vet
    Jeremy Lin 6 yr vet
I think he had more talent than Houston now.....at least more experience.
Better when you have a point guard that has experience who can direct people
where to be. To a greater extent

Atkinson was suppose to be a can't miss Popovich disciple that missed.

As I've said, it's not the coach/system.....it's the players. Scottie Brooks
was great with Durant/Harden/Westbrook/Ibaka.....not so great without
    Durant/Ibaka and Harden.

Same teacher, same curriculum, different students.
    ___________________
    * There is point guard, point forward, point center. For the sake of argument and cut
down on confusion.....maybe I should call point guard, Point 1. Combo guards as Point 2.
Facilitating Small Forward as Point 3. Facilitating Power Forward as Point 4. Facilitating
    Center as Point 5.

Clutchfans had a thread on coaching search.

There, many noted the Ty Lue report that he wanted approximately $9 million
per season. I seeing that is because Lue turned down $18 million over a few
years from the Lakers. Reports noted Lue was still getting $10 million a
year but would lose some of that money depending on how much he got
    paid in new contract.

Anyway, at the time, I questioned why the Silas contract wasn't announced
publicly at the time. This article states his contract with Houston is
over $1 million. Not much help! Lol!

But good luck finding another decent coach for just over $1 million.
Every coach with experience would laugh at that.
