Master Oogway never had to get a technical foul in order to teach Silas job right now is to teach......wins are just a bi-product of that new knowledge. If Silas wanted to win now. He would go Isolation all the time with Green, Porter Jr, Sengun and Wood. But are they really learning with that? We know they can iso.
One possible number that was floated, is a 20 mil deal for 5 years. That could put Silas at $4mil per year. From a Q&A session with Kris Gardner. He was answering more from top of his dome; so can take it for what it is worth. That puts him at round league average (maybe slightly lower). The thing that may surprise folks is the length of that contract, I've no idea how much of that is guaranteed. It could mean that Silas will be here for quite a while.
Earlier today I posted a link, in discussion with a member here. Agent for D'Antoni claims the Rockets offered $2.5M base....$5M total If (#1) he could get the Rockets into the second round of the playoffs. (#2) last to end of the season. Added $1M bonus. The agent claimed the Rockets could fire D'Antoni and save money that way and not have to pay the playoff money plus bonus. Just the $2.5M amount I doubt an unproven Silas would be offered more than D'Antoni who has proven success in Phoenix and Houston.
