Who do you want to face in the playoffs?

Doesn't matter, bengals are not very good, they consistently beat bad teams but when do they beat teams that are over .500 consistently?

Rookie QB, young team overall, texans would be pretty lucky to face them in the playoffs IMO.

I wasn't suggesting that they'd lay down, just that the Ravens could destroy them regardless.

True... but if they beat Baltimore next week, they would have more momentum than any other playoff team.

Also, its very hard to beat teams twice in this league... regardless of their situation.

On paper, they still are the most favorable matchup... but I'd be weary of the above factors as well.

Also, I'm pretty sure the Bengals would rather face the Texans than the AFC-West winner.

momentum is overrated. how a team played previous week has little bearing on how they play the next week. matchups are important. Playing cincy would be ideal.

Jets usually turn it up in the playoffs, Bengals aren't playoffs tested. I say the Bengals.

Momentum is important when it directly correlates to how your team is playing at that stage of the season. Green Bay and Pittsburgh in the past two seasons can attest to that.

Cincy could come in being clicking on all cylinders, as opposed to Pittsburgh who has a gimpy QB, Baltimore who can't win a road game, and New England who just lost their last two regular season games at home against sub .500 teams (;)).

Its all wishful thinking at this point... after Thursdays game, I've gone back to zero expectations, and all "any accomplishment is gravy", mode for this team... exactly where I was after the Schaub injury.

I know it's not the popular pick, but I'd like to face the Jets. Sanchez makes terrible decisions, takes sacks and turns the ball over when he's under pressure. Plus we have the revenge factor on our side.

At this point I just want to see the Ravens win the North and get the #2 seed so that Pittsburgh as the #5 seed goes to New England in the 2nd round, hopefully knocking them off.

We beat the Bengals or Jets at home, then go get revenge on the Ravens in Baltimore and then come back to Houston to host the Steelers for the AFC Championship. For history's sake I'd love to beat Pittsburgh to get to the Super Bowl.

Jet lost which is good, problem is that Baltimore has something to play for which mean bengals have a tough game still. How are the scenarios with the titans and jets? Could it be we control the titans destiny and could face them again in the playoffs if we lose?

Really hoping that KC takes care of the Tebows next week. The worst-case scenario for me, at this point, is if Cincinnati loses and Denver and Oakland each win. That would put us against Oakland in the first round. I know we didn't have Andre the first go-round, but the Raiders' defensive front absolutely abused our OL the first time around. I don't like that matchup.

Yes. We are locked into the 3 seed now. It's possible that we could play the Jets, Bengals, t***, Chargers or even the Raiders. Going to be a crazy last Sunday.

Guess it's still up in the air for Bengals, Jets, and Titans for our first round match up. A lot of scenarios for 2 team, 3 team tiebreaks.

Chargers are blowing it now against the Lions. They'll be behind all those other teams by a loss (2 behind the Bengals) if they lose today. They play the Raiders next week, so the Raiders are very much still in the race. Bengals control their own fate with only 6 losses, but it's going to be a very though game against the Ravens (who are still vying for the division title). Raiders match up in the first round scares me..

The Raiders are a lot more likely than the Jets or Titans... which scares me a lot.

You're right. A SD loss would eliminate them from the playoffs. I think our most favorable matchup would be against Tennessee. I agree Oak would probably be our worst matchup, Seymour blew our line up.

Just realized we could easily play the Broncos too if they lose next week and Raiders win (they will get the division title and the 4th seed). If Broncos lose, Raiders lose against the Chargers, their would be a tie way against them at 8-8. Who would win the tiebreak?

Not scared of Oakland unless they get McFadden back in time.

Not possible to play the Broncos. The worst Cincinnati can be is 9-7 (they're 9-6 now), so an 8-8 team can't get in as a wild card. The Broncos are either a 9-7 division champ (No. 4) or they're out.

SD is getting abused by DET 24-0 at the half. Really thought they would fare better after the beat down they gave BAL last week. Looks like it will be between CIN, TEN, OAK, and NYJ to play us in the first round.
