As someone who currently lives in SA and friends with many smug Spurs fans, I rather play the Clippers. I don't know if I can withstand 1-2 weeks of deriding.

Same exact situation here. This whole city was damn near suicidal after that game 1 loss and now they're back to being obnoxious. I don't know if I can take us losing to them and having to hear it

Agreed. I'm looking for Terry to play better consistently in the 2nd Round. He would be the guy to counter Mills as far as clutch production.

I think I've changed my mind every day for the past week. Right now I want the Clippers. Tomorrow I'll want the Spurs.

Game 1 of Round 2 is a MUST win now for Houston. They'll get a tired, bruised team in Gm 7 winner of SA/LAC, they'll have home court AND be well rested. And SA/LAC winner won't have but a day to gameplan for Houston.

Well, we're fine then. Since Aminu didn't limit anything.

    If HOU play LAC:

    Starters
    JET <<< CP3
    Harden >>> Reddick
    Ariza >> Barnes
    TJones << Griffin
    Dwight > DeAndre

    Bench
    Prig/Johnson < Jamal
    Brewer >>> Hedo(barely plays)
    JSMOOVE >>> Big Baby(injured?)
    Capella >> Hawes(barely plays)

    Coach
    McHale < Doc

    If HOU plays SA:

    Starters
    JET << Tony(maybe 70% of himself)
    Harden >>> Green
    Ariza << Kawhi
    TJones <<< Duncan
    Dwight >>> Splitter(maybe 80% of himself)

    Bench
    Prig/Johnson <<< Patty/Joesph
    Brewer > Manu/Marco
    JSMOOVE > Diaw/Bonner
    Capella > Banes

    Coach
    McHale <<< Pop

So in conclusion...HOU +7 over LAC...HOU -4 to SA Get it? Got it? Good.
    Go LAC on Saturday

With the Clippers having such a weak bench and possibly losing Big Baby for a while, I think I might choose them.

A seven game series with the Spurs where Paul and Griffin are playing 40+ minutes is huge. If we wrack up fouls on bigs like we usually do, the Clippers could be forced into some very bad lineups.

Spurs are built to exploit our weaknesses. Their fluid offense will expose our weak perimeter defense that come from the 1 with Jet/Prigs. Spurs know how to break down a defense.

But where it gets bad is they will put Leonard on Harden. Leonard is better than Aminu. And he can be a handful on the other end too of course.

Mills, Parker, Duncan, Leonard, Diaw, Green, Splitter, Belinelli, Manu. That's a great core group right there that can score in all sorts of ways.

Plus on top of that they will hack-a-whatever to help them win games.

I think we have better odds against the Clips.

Rockets have the two best players on the court. Spurs can't stop a playoff Howard. Hack a shaq lost Pops game 6. Smoove and Howard triple option play is the better than any play the Spurs can run. When motion becomes stagnant the Spurs fall apart. Good defense can dictate what motion does.

Green is in a slump. Parker and Ginobody have done little if nothing so far.

Spurs are highly overrated right now.

    They can't stop Playoff Howard.

Harden is the best player on the court, and Spurs cannot stop Paul either. Spurs are putting Kawhi on Paul ... and it isn't working.

    your turn.

Haha, the only reason I'm thinking San Antonio is so I can goto a game easier... :) but I'm starting to wonder if LAC might be easier due to no bench.... I really think Houston has a great chance to beat either team.

I cant see Ginoblli/Green having 2 bad series in a row...Splitter will just get healthier....Tony Parker will have an easier time against us...and of course there bench is scary at the moment...

Harden and Paul are not the same....Kawhi/Green/Diaw can be effective against Harden....

I see Rockets being similar to the Clippers but with depth...
