After looking at the boards I really want us to try and trade our Orlando pick and Clippers pick to try and get our picks right next to eachother. 14/16th or something. Then between the two try and get a defensive SF and C either Terrence Jones/ Kawhi Leonard/ Jordan Hamilton then Biyambo/ Jonas Valnciunas If we don't trade up try and grab Greb Smith he'd be a project but could be worth it.
Mouphtaou Yarou http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Mouphtaou-Yarou-5244/ and now.... <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/tbgwyxPvM8s" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Biyombo like???
More from Yarou. Shows his jumpshot. <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/fs5fMtNZXEA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Well, that sucks. There are still question marks about him, so it might be a little over-hype. (one site has him listed as 8th pick, another at 50th overall) I trust Daryl, and if he thinks he's over-hyped (and picks someone else if he falls in our laps) or thinks he's worth trading up for, I'll have faith in his scouting. (-also, good find coachbadlee.)
^^^normally, you expect to see dunks on a big man's highlight reel. Yarou had nothing but layups.. pass.
I want the Rockets to actually make SS for something other than getting dunked on. That just won't do
Can't find anything on his wingspan. DX has him at 6'9 230lbs and at 6'10 250. I'm hoping it's the latter. He's also 71% from the FT line. Worth taking a look at least.
His projected to come out next year. Also I remember reading he had a 7'4 wingspan somewhere, but I forgot where..
Mock drafts have not taken team needs into consideration yet. Once they do, it could change the order of the entire draft board..
I've been liking Yarou from quite some time, I think he'll be a steal in the 2nd round/late first if he declares this year.
Also check out Joshua Smith... Kid is talented and can become a force if put in the right situation. I doubt Yarou and Smith will declare this year though, they can go much much higher later..
I'll say. DX has us taking Alex Burks with the 14th. Yeah, yeah I know BPA, however with both KM and Lee entrenched at the position I have no idea why we will be drafting this guy
Given that Irving will be impossible to obtain, I only want 3 players in this draft. In order, Bismack Biyombo, Jonas Valanciunas, and Harrison Barnes. Bismack has a 9'3 standing reach, Ben Wallace with a J, taller, rich man's Joey Dorsey with a brain. If we can't get him, then we can get Jonas. The one person I can compare him to is Biedrins from Golden State with a better shot. This guy does everything you want your center to do defensively and he has shoots 92% FTs, which is incredible. He may not be a great shot-blocker yet, but he definitely will change shots. If we can't get any of these 2, then we'll have to settle for Harrison Barnes. Barnes is basically a Luol Deng clone with a better shot from 3. I'd put him somewhere between Deng and Pierce in terms of potential, which is pretty good for 1/2 option. Him and Martin can split up that role with Martin getting earlier shots and Barnes getting the 4th quarter shots. Barnes is very clutch if you've seen him play this year.
Forgot that we need to trade basically out whole team except Lowry, Martin, and Hayes to get whoever we can. Patterson actually has the most value, but if we can get any of the 2 centers above, we have to trade him. Other teams will most probably want him as well. Hayes plays his best as a PF and he's still relatively young. There really isn't a drop off with Hayes, especially if we can get a center. I'm not saying that I don't like Patterson, but at this point and the future, PF isn't that much of an upgrade from Hayes to Patterson.
