I think Morey has faith in a couple of the young Power Forwards. And Patterson and Morris numbers are not far off from Smith and Milsap. I don't see Morey going after a power forward.

The Rockets need bench players more than anything else.

Stand Pat unless you can get either...

    Ilyasova
    Cousins
    Granger

    and Maybe PAU

    Ofcourse without giving up much.....

I think you could get Ilyasova and Granger both considering their current standings....

    Lin
    harden
    Parsons maybe (Granger)
    Ily
    Asik

    Temporprary Fix until season ends....

Like Sanity, I think they'll stand pat; unless something unusual comes along. I would target Cousins/w Chuck or Love. Hadn't thought about Ilyasovs, but he's a posibility. In any trade, I keep either Dmo or TJ.

Nobody on the Jazz looked impressive when the Jazz got beaten up by the Rox. Kind of silly to say, clearly they have some talent as much as we might hate them, or they would not be ahead of us in the standings. We're just a bad match-up for them, in addition to us catching them on a bad night.

Honestly, I picked Millsap (for cheap) in the poll up there. But if the Rox could grab KG for relatively cheap (Patterson, TJones, Aldrich), I would be ecstatic.

KG would help along the development of this team, especially defensively and locker room-wise so much. Moreover, he's done after 2 years which is when this team will have developed enough to contend. Obviously, not willing to leverage most of the future for KG though.

This would be the only player worth getting rid of any of our top prospects for.

    Love or Bust.

josh smith. If you give up parsons he shoots threes runs the floor and can post.. He plays better d and rebounds. If you resign he is still young.

Hmmmm overpaid, no defense, 3pt chucker, cries to media like Dwight, rebound numbers will drop with asik on floor, etc etc. not a max player imo

God no to all of the above! But if we go after someone and can manage to turn Lin, Patterson and Morris into Gasol (not the least bit happy about it but he does more for us then any of the other 4s out there) then I am all for it or turn that into Ryan Anderson. Josh Smith is overrated and do not want to be stuck in signing him to an 8 figure a year deal plus he does little in what the Rockets need out of the 4 spot. Rather stick with our undersized PFs then go after Milsap. Granger is never going to happen this year or the next. He has no place on a rebuilding young Rockets team with him being 29 and his bad knee and oh yeah we happen to have a better Sf on this team already. And this rumor came from Sam Amico and he is a joke. As much as I dislike Lin on this team Evans is worse. Evans may become the worst contract out the up coming free agent season or just right behind Josh Smith.

Wtf? When is right around 14 million a year for a consistent/efficient stretch 4 that rebounds like a mad man overpaid?

He never cried like Dwight he just wants better talent around him, which who wouldn't? Pretty much impossible when you have David Khan calling the shots.

What is Asik? Dennis Rodman? Don't get me wrong he's a great rebounder but Love still gets his playing next to another outstanding rebounder in Pekovic.

Plus he's not even getting max money duh! Hes signed thru the next 3 years.

    Etc etc etc.

    What a tool.

Some members here seem to have an undying love of Josh Smith and I'm curious as to why. I'll concede that he's a great athlete and a great defender. Moreover, he's a better rebounder than our current PFs (~8 per game). But I've also heard arguments that he's a good floor spacer which is just patently wrong.

Smith is shooting 44.8% overall and 30.6% from 3.

While he finishes 75.1% of the time at the rim (166/221), Smith is only shooting 28.8% from 16 ft to 3pt line (49/170:eek:) and 35.4% from 3 ft to 9 ft (57/161).

I held Smith to fairly high esteem the start of this season, but he hasn't shaken his habit of taking long 2's and I find that worrisome. I'll admit I just don't watch enough Hawks games to give a good full assessment on my own, but I would love to hear arguments as to why Smith is so high on many members' target list (in a recent CF poll he garnered 28% of the votes).

We should be able to move Aldrich at the deadline for a draft pick. There are teams in need ...for example, Memphis:

Hollins Frustrated With Grizzlies' Lack Of Center Depth Following Trades
    Feb 06, 2013 11:04 AM EST

Lionel Hollins has been left scrambling to fill the center position beyond Marc Gasol for the Memphis Grizzlies following the trades of Mo Speights and Hamed Haddadi.

The Grizzlies were outmatched by Luis Scola and Marcin Gortat when Gasol got into foul trouble in the Grizzlies' 96-90 loss to the Suns.

"One of the issues that I have is that neither Darrell (Arthur) or Ed (Davis) are fives. We don't have another big guy. We weren't able to play big and have two bigger people across the board because we don't have a bigger guy to put in the game."
