I know I'm in the severe minority here but I like the idea of acquiring Pau Gasol. I understand he still has two years left on his contract but so does Kevin Love. Gasol could be a nice fit with Harden on the pick and roll and would make the team better than it is now. Having Gasol and Asik down low is a great NBA Playoff frontcourt. The downside to Gasol is his age and injury risks but the cap space that we would enjoy while potentially negotiating with Love will be worth that risk. Also if the Twolves decide to trade Love before the offseason of his player option, having a talented 7-footer who's contract is expiring would not be a bad bargaining chip.

All besides Granger or Gasol blocks cap room in the KLove year, so, pass on all but those two, and I don't want that Gasol =P

Yes to your above - - except - - Tyreke, if acquired in a reasonable manner, makes sense with his upside and reasonable cost, if the cost of acquisition is reasonable, of course.

How does Milsap make June possible?
J-Smooth v D-League line-up for Bulls and Bulls win. Say 'HellNo' to JS5!
Gasol? Really, and how are you going to get to 12mil to make it happen?
Granger? It will take three contracts for the deal. Since Cole is 1, ta ta. But, PPat and TJ? No way. PPat and TD? Maybe - - if you believe Parsons and/or Granger can play major minutes at the 4. And if you believe that...

So, Evans now, ok but big signing/trade? Summer.

I voted Millsap bc he's one of my favorite players and think that he would mesh well on this team.. (although if PPat can keep up the good work then Millsap isnt an upgrade)

Tyreke evans would be an interesting 6th man acquisition

I want someone that plays like Faried. Above the rim, both offensively and more importantly, defensively. Anything else we get is gravy.

I would not target any of the bigger names who will become FAs in 2013 (except for CP and Dwight) unless it's for a small price. If you want these guys, you can sign them in the summer without giving up anything. Also, getting them now doesn't mean they won't leave in the summer.

I would a bit more for similar level players with 1 yr left on their deals (Gasol and Granger) since you get them until 2014 and has flexibility at that time to go after FAs.

I would not mind giving up one or two of the young PFs on the roster. We don't have rotation spots for all of them and players out of rotation for more than a yr or so tend to lose value in trades.

1 - I would like to see Patterson and / or Morris moved for a young swing gaurd like Jordan Hamilton and smalll filler or a pick (Opens room for Jones and D-Mo)

2- Defino, Aldrich, Dougles for anything - 2nd rounders

3- Lin IF and Only If we can get some value back for him that fits the TEAM better.

I am all for putting a stop to the "winning season" to develop some of our younger talent - like we were going to pre Harden trade. --> this TEAM is not ready to win a title and we are not just one trade away. We need to be real with ourself and do what is best for the team long term.

imo it's critical to make the playoffs this year for the invaluable experience, and also more flexibility from not having to keep conditionally owing our 1st round pick to another team

Granger is, at least technically, gettable. A couple of young guys + Cole and @7mil TE is pretty good haul for Donnie W. Assuming he can't do better or wants to do nada, of course.

Gasol is, at least under any thinkable scenario, totally out of the question @$19 mil. Totally. (And I'd still take him over J-Smoothe...)

people were b****ing about zach ramndolph's character back in the day instead of seeing what contributions he could make to help a play-off team. rodman was a gay thug that was trapped in the closet, but still won championships regardless of him being a potential locker room cancer.

I'd rather trade for Pekovic. I'd give up Parsons and more for Pek.
