I love Yao, but he is Sampson part two. Trade him while he still has value. The rules in now are geared towards smaller players.
IMO we need three things: 1) A 3rd scoring threat, whether from PG or PF position 2) A better rebounding PF to make up for Yao's deficiencies 3) A better offensive scheme. Trading T-Mac or Yao would be stupid. Both PG and PF positions can be upgraded, and whether or not we need a new coach depends on whether JVG can design a better offense for us. And I think that's a no, at least not by himself, so we need to get a new head coach or assistant coach.
