Most likely will end up trading EG for 2-3 bench players with smaller salaries. Tillman wants to cut salaries, so no way he allows Morey to trade him for someone makes as much or more than EG.
What the crap is this? Nobody is giving anything good to get Eric Gordon. We have to pay to get rid of him. The only people who might take him are contenders looking for a 6th man spark plug, and who think they can get EGO for trash contracts and a conditional 1st
This is also true. Both need to go and the Rox need to take a 'breather' year where they shoot for 4th/5th seed and accumulate assets. Ie, dump Gordon and Westbrook. Take profit on Tucker. Let Harden make some plebs shine, and then reload for 2021/22 championship run
This is the best I can do for right now. I loved a John Collins/DeAndre Hunter x EGo and it works but Atl only deals Collins because they don’t want to pay him the max. Like Orlando with Aaron Gordon, Collins probably stays. And Hunter is pretty good as well. So I’m left with: Jazz in: Eric Gordon (PG/SG) (Jazz lose Mudiay and Jordan Clarkson in free agency) Eric Gordon could help shore up Conley/D Mitchell. x Houston in: Royce O’Neale (SG/SF/PF) 6’4” Joe Ingles (SG/SF/PF) 6’7” Georges Niang (SF/PF) 6’7” http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yyb7zptd Rockets (20/21) PG) Westbrook........Rivers, Clemons SG) Harden.............Ingles (40% 3P%), Nwaba 6’5” (43% 3P%) SF) House...............Royce O’Neale (38% 3P%) PF) Covington........ Niang (40% 3P%) C) Tucker................Jeff Green This means trading both Eric Gordon and McLemore and bringing back Jeff Green. 12 players Best I can do until the season officially ends and the team’s payroll resets for each team (on this site).
The Horford idea makes a ton of sense, but the salaries don't add up. They'll have to add another piece, and as much as it pains me to say it, I'd be OK moving Tucker. I think Philly would be willing to move some more assets, possibly even a pick or two to move on from Horford's deal, and Tucker is the oldest Rocket and only has one year left on his contract. If they re-sign Green, I could get behind a RoCo, Green and Horford front court.
What does this bring to the discussion? the thread title is who do you WANT My response is formatted in a way that even exhibits they are unlikely.
Keep Gordon, hes a solid player, solid defense with switchability, good 3pt shooter, hes familiar with this system and harden and he shows up in the playoffs hes a perfect player for our team dont overreact and trade him like we did with cp3
Eric is not getting traded with that contract . Plus I’m willing to see how he does in a new scheme and coaches philosophy .
Let's pray that Philly signs MDA and then maybe they will be more interested in some of our "assets."
