Gordon had perhaps the dunk of the century... but all of Lavines dunks were ridiculous.. The alley oop from the freethrow line was so graceful... His dunks are flawless

No way. Nique and MJ were superstars. That's like prime Kobe vs young LeBron. That's the thing these days....i don't care about seeing a bunch of nobodies or role players in the dunk contest. I want to see the star of stars. It doesn't matter if those stars can't dunk as well as some bench scrub or role player, because no matter how good those role player dunkers are, they have nothing on amateur dunkers. I can just watch amateur dunkers do insane dunks all day on youtube. Bring out the stars again.
The point of a dunk contest is to pick players that have the best chance of winning. Why would you rather see a crappy dunk contest between Westbrook and LeBron, when you could have what the world saw last night, in Gordon and LaVine? If you want to see star power, go watch the ASG tonight.
I see people say that, but Lavine is far more deserving than Nate Robinson. Lavine threw down some LEGIT dunks.
