    I say Nachbar and Mobley.

By now, Yao will only surprise those ignorant naysayers. But Nachbar is a relatively unknown. He will be better than a lot of people think.

Mobley will surprise because he will dramatically change his game due to the dramatic change of the whole team. He will be an even more unstoppable scorer but will shoot less and score less.

If he gets the minutes, then Boki will be the surprise.

This is just one in a million, but Gasol has some pretty nifty dunks. My favorite was the baseline spin against the big ticket.

    rice.
can you imagine our team if rice starts shooting again like he did in char or even la. this guy is a pseudo-nba legend and i think everyone forgets about him. im hoping he gets back to his glory days, but i know he will at least play better than people expect.

Maddux and Brown will consume Mooch and Torres' minutes which will probably inspire a trade.

Individually, I agree that Nashbar will be the biggest surprise; he has virtually been forgotten in the midst of all the Ming hoopla. I believe the Rockets as a team will surprise many of their opponents, and I think we will all be surprised how good they become before the season is over. The Rockets are loaded with talent, and, potentially, they could mature and jell quicker than expected. Wouldn't that be fun!? :)
