In my opinion, the Rockets need a backup point guard that actually pushes the ball up the court kinda like Bobby Jackson (Maddox maybe?) They could also use a backup SG similar to the role that Vinnie Johnson had for the Pistons. I'm not sure if Teddy Dupay is tall enough, but I wouldn't mind giving him a look in the summer camps, or maybe the 2 gaurd out of Hawaii. They also need that hussle guy who does the intagibles, could be Kenny Thomas if we keep him. All this doesn't need to happen this off season, just when we start making our Championship runs in a couple of years.
I really like the Rockets the way they are now. It's just a matter of how well they'll be able to play together. Heck, the Nets made it to the Finals, right? (BTW I really have a good feeling about Nachbar )
I don't think they need to add anyone unless they can unload taylor,rice or Cato's contract. It would be nice to ship Thomas and Collier off for someone in the last yr of their contract and resign Willis as a 3rd center. Maybe cleveland would want Taylor and Collier for Hill. Then we could waive ty hill and next yr we wouldn't have that salary. I also think the Rockets should just eat Rice's contract. I think someway, somehow we need to clear some players out. Ideally Kt would be a good sixth man behind Griffin or even starting another yr, but i think he's gonna want his time so he can get his money.
I agree w/JayZ..Bruce Bowen gives us a defensive stopper at the 3. Rashard is another guy I'd take a hard look at.I still can't believe we didn't draft him.I don't know about Nachbar's ability to step over and handle the two,but if he could,I'd look at Rashard...sorry Cat.Rashard can D up,stick the outside shot and post up just about any 3 out there.
