man watching this 5 min clip makes me sad. tracy was SOOO good and fought so hard. towards the end he is fighting for the rebound and the put back and misses and tries gain and again again until finally getting fouled. he had so much passion for the game...what happened?
Ray Allen is up there. I also like watching Rashard Lewis shoot. I don't know if it's necessarily textbook, but I like it.
someone take a look at this.... this is just plain ****ing crazy. http://artfiles.art.com/images/-/Tracy-McGrady-Photograph-C10109262.jpeg
Yeah no doubt, I'da kept the list going giving respect to ALL the classic shooters, Dana Barros, Dan Majerle, Steve Smith, etc But kept the list to who had good shooting form. Chris Mullin was a good mention. Mullin and Reggie Miller were on the same Pacers team with Mullin the 2nd/3rd option. Miller gets all the respects but Mullin was better, until he got injured. Miller has the longetivity on him. Another guy I liked watching shoot, Chris Jackson. aka Mahmoud Abdul Rauf. Maybe the quickest release off the dribble ever. That guy in college put on incredible shooting displays, better than Reddick. People will disagree, but when his feet were set and he was squared to the basket Vernon Maxwell had a nice looking 3 point shot. Nice release and follow through action, solid mechanics, good base. The 1/3 of the time he'd set and square up. Sasha Vujacic by far gets the award for great form no results. Vujacic is in the top 10 beautiful jump shot ever, has the shooters mentality to go with it, just doesnt go in much.
found this video of vince's shot. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/DQgkbME4RIo&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/DQgkbME4RIo&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
The guy was fun to watch. For example, his ripping apart of the Jordan Bulls. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/e93l5so7f9s&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/e93l5so7f9s&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Allan Houston Mitch Richmond Rex Chapman Robert Horry Dell Curry Dale Ellis Tracey Murray My all time favorite: Clyde Drexler. So unique and unorthodox. So ugly it's beautiful.
Damn shame he has been left out of this thread. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/-OG3PhdFK-M&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/-OG3PhdFK-M&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> The Greatness!
