I had no idea we were bringing guys out of retirement. Well in that case I'll have to go with the one and only: LARRY LEGEND[/B]
You can debate all you want about best jump shot, but best free throw shot ever is Derrick Joseph Chievous!
Gonna throw maybe an unsaid name in here - Anthony Morrow. He shot 46.7% (led NBA) from 3-land last season on 2.8 attempts per game for 67 games as an undrafted rook! He's been reported to hit 93/100 and 98/112 threes during shooting drills. What I like about his shot is that it's quick, yet very soft and has perfect trajectory and spin. I used to like Ray Allen's shot but now I think it comes out "too hard" with too much spin, causing hard bounce-outs (although when it does swish, it is probably the sweetest net-snapping sound, net-splashing visual in the nba).
It might be ugly, but it's consistent. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/NzYh4CGAbCU&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/NzYh4CGAbCU&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Do you guys remember this classic Tmac vs Dirk? <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/H9oONJ862SA&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/H9oONJ862SA&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> Back then, Tracy's jumper was picture perfect.
I love Tracy's shot how rises with one foot back and the foward is so enchanting lol no homo Ray's shot takes the crown though. My Favorite: 1. Ray Ray 2. T-Mac 3. Rashard Lewis
Jamal Crawford shot is horryfying so is Marion's. My favorite shot from a big man is JO's actually... I've seen him play over here in miami, his form is great.
I wouldn't call kobe's or jordan's shots as text book or picture perfect...but for some reason, when those two shoot the ball, you know it was going in no matter how many defenders were on them. I think they are the only two in I have ever seen that gives off that kind of feeling. Tmac, it looked good, not his form, but his elevation and that leg kick. But for some reason, most of the time, his shoots feel like they are not going in, even if he does make it. I would say i enjoy watching kobe and jordan shooting more than tmac.
reggie miller's shot is known to be unorthodox with his elbow sticking way out. now here's an old name for you, dale ellis.
A Thats Incredible! sighting in the video, nice. And in it Houston Rockets Rick Barry in the clip wearing Rockets gear and trademark underhanded free throws! Current shooters: - Ray Allen - Jason Kapono - Steve Novak - Kyle Korver - Rashard Lewis - Ben Gordon Older shooters, when shooting was an art form: - Dale Ellis - Dell Curry - Larry Legend - Drazen Petrovic - Chuck Person The Rifleman - Eddie Johnson - Jon Sunvold - Jim Les Actual shooting form, Stephen's dad Dell Curry had the quickest, purest, least wasted motion release. Tracy Murray was pretty pure, too.
MJ has the perfect shot if you're asking me. TMAC is a great perimeter scorer can shoot in your face like kobe and his J looks really cool with his sissor kick but not perfect..its more like an off balance shot.. Ray allen perfect form..and effective and he's proven that time and time again., KB24.,not your picture perfect shot but damn is his shot is deadly.,. so i'd go 1-MJ 2-KB24 3-R.Allen 4-TMAC
Oooh...Forgot about Mully. That shot was pretty, too. I like the combo of him and Reggie when they played on the Pacers together. I just miss the old NBA days in general. Bring back Dream, Clyde, Chuck, Kevin Willis, Mario Elie, Mad Max, Sam-I-Am and everybody else.
