reggie millers was the best I ever saw. Those long skinny arms throwing up the rainbow somehow looked extra graceful. Rudy Fernandez has a pretty shot. T-mac's elevation is nice, but his shot is so flat. Ray Allen has nice form, but i wouldn't call it a thing of beauty. his elbow sticks out too. michael jordan has the prettiest shot off the dribble, the way he transitions from a fake to his shot is poetic. Kobe is pretty in the same way. their actual shot though isn't anything.
LMFAO Ginobili's shot is one of the most hideous things to ever grace a basketball court. My top 5 best looking shots would be. Vince Carter J.R. Smith Ray Allen O.J Mayo Jason Terry In no order after vince.
Miller was an outstanding shooter, but he had that wierd follow through that made his arms cross at the end.
kobe has 3 shots. 1. fadeaway #1 <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/9h8p1hL6-UU&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/9h8p1hL6-UU&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> 2. elbow/wing no-look fadeaway. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/XSDzaSVnCFk&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/XSDzaSVnCFk&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> 3. and the best jumper ever. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/meyf9dNKygM&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/meyf9dNKygM&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
T-Mac has pretty good form but flat because sometimes he released it late,as for leftys go I would say Cuttino Mobley.
i agree with everyone saying tmac's shot is flat, but man, his form is sweet and his stroke/movement is smooth. it looks effortless. when i made a custom player in nba 2k9, i patterned the shooting stroke to tmac's. looks sweet everytime i take a long jumper.
Glen Rice, Allan Houston, Ray Allen and Kevin Durant - all have pretty shots... The great thing about Tmac's- he can take the shot anytime without having to set his feet
I def. agree with T-Mac, Dirk, and Kobe if you're talking about perfect form. Ray Allen's release, while pretty, is far from perfect...he shoots a ball with no rotation, as does Rashard Lewis, you won't find anyone teaching young kids to shoot the ball "perfect" like that!
I take it you've never watched McGrady during shootaround. It's something that has always bugged me -- his form is so good that you can't help but wonder why he doesn't make jump shots at a more regular rate. My mental explanation for it has always been that over his career he simply got used to taking high-difficulty shots. The clotheslines jumpers may have something to do with it as well, although he has shown he can put lots of pretty arch when he wants to -- something that contributed to his career best 3pt shooting in the 08-09 season.
