I have BOA with online bill pay. It is great. I only have to write a rent check every month. I even have it set up where it automatically pays $300 towards my $250 / month car note so that gets paid off faster and moves a few hundred every month on the 2nd into Savings so I don't see it and Savings is built up. Most of the other bills automatically pop up every month with how much I owe and it takes a few clicks to pay them. I have all the bills paid off every month in about 5 minutes. All for free.
That's happened to me. I could have sworn I transfered money from my savings but it went into my credit card account for some reason. I'm not stupid. I do online banking all the time. Anyhow, I ended up getting overdrafted about 15 time @ 35 bucks each. I called them and they did see that money was transfered to my credit instead of debit but they still acted stupid. They said they would reimburse half of all of it but they only reimbursed like 7 of them. I called them to see why I wasn't "half" reimbursed the rest and they flat out lied to me saying they just couldn't. During one of the calls to management, she all of a sudden goes "Hello? Sorry I can't hear you. Hello?" then hangs up. That's BOA service right there.
like if you want to pay a bill for tmobile, you enter in some of your account info in the billpay interface then it will have an entry for tmobile on a vendor list. YOu can then either pay it manually, or set up a automatic recurring payment, and they will transfer money from your bank account to the vendor.
They didn't do anything nice for me, because I never signed up for "over-draft" protection. It was somewhat my fault because I didn't properly manage my funds. I was a stupid 17 year old
I have Wells Fargo for my checking and HSBC for my savings. I have no complaints except that the interest for my savings is dropping! It was 5.06% and now it's 2.06% something. Once the 6 months with zero interest for Visa expired, Wells Fargo charged me interest for a while. All of sudden, they stopped charging me. I have NO idea how it happened but I'll leave that alone. NO INTEREST!
Here is a comparison of all CHASE Checking accounts. I think I have the Better Banking one... yeah, I am changing tomorrow. http://www.chase.com/ccp/index.jsp?pg_name=ccpmapp/individuals/checking/page/checking_overview
BVVA aka Compass Bancshares and 2 different credit unions... and Guaranty... I bank. Oh and Bank of Texas... which, btw, has a Rockets check card...
Wamu. They're good enough. I've had them forever and my husband changed from Chase over to Wamu. Chase was a pain in the butt to close though.
Really? I had Wells Fargo for 8 years and they never charged me for writing a check, and I only write one check a month. Call them up and ask to speak to a manager. I have never had any problem with them.
