do you honestly expect anyone to make judgements on a player they haven't seen?

Are you saying that if Griffin and Yao were in this years draft you would take Griffin over Yao?

i think it is simply a matter of how easily you can replace them.
there were already 3-4 players in this year's draft who could compete with griffin straight up.

there ain't gonna be another yao ming until the next shaq shows up...

I agree with you UT, I think Eddie will be the better of the two. I thought Eddie should've been our starting center this year in front of Cato this year. A line up of Eddie,MoT,Stevie,Cat,Boki and KT comming off the bench would be killer.

Very logical thoughts. You definately keep Ming.

Will be a blast to see them both on the court at the same time. I'm big fans of each.

Maybe after ten games I'll tell you. Of course right now I would say Eddie, just because I know what he can do.

This reminds me of those million threads where people argue about who's better between Steve and Cuttino. Whenever I read those threads I think, "Man, if only we could have both of them... Oh wait... We do."

So. Who's better? Griffin or Yao? Trick answer: Griffin AND Yao.

Eddie Griffin for sure is the better prospect in my mind....but if we had our current team and had to choose one, I'd choose Ming because we have KT and Taylor at PF.....but Griffin IMO will be a star.

Eddie Griffin will be dicking Yao Ming down in practice for the next ten years.

Yep, maybe after a YEAR...How the hell would any of you all know? We've actually seen Eddie play so I'd pick him. Until Yao's played a whole season against NBA players this is funny...

Prospect just on size/"potential": Yao (How many 7'5 players?)
on domination of position: Yao (How many good centers left?)
    on skills: Eddie (FREAK)

We got both though, so this is gonna kick ass...

    Hey off-welfare,

When have you seen Ming outplay a NBA quality player, because I've seen Griffin do it numerous times. I'm not saying Ming wont be good, but Griffin has proved much more than Ming.

So don't bet your money on the "dream on" comment, or you might end up back on-welfare.

No question, Griffin! Think about it this way...would you rather have Rik Smits or Kevin Garnett? Exactly.
