saw his senior bowl pracitces/workouts/game action and he is very intriguing prospect. He came out of the same college as Osi Umineroya (sp) and DeMarcus Ware. He has all the tools needed for a CB except for ability to make the INT and maybe a bit more effort in run support. I love his ball skills when i watched him play. He just knows where the ball is at all times and tips/swats the ball away.
Not sure how well Jamaal's game will translate to the NFL but he is big time talent. I hope he is there in the 3rd round, we could really use some speed and home-run ability in the backfield. His 40 time is going make or break his draft position, a great 40 could shoot him up to the mid-2nd.
Charles 4.36, 4.39 T. Choice 4.54, 4.52 McFadden 4.27, 4.33 Mendenhall 4.44, 4.37 Rice 4.44 Slayton 4.44 K. Smith 4.43 J. Stewart 4.44 Alridge (UH) 4.36, 4.33
I'm more impressed with mendenhall. 4.37 40 yd dash, 26 reps on the bench press and he's 10lbs heavier than mcfadden. I really hope the texans can pick up. Perfect fit in zone-blocking scheme and he reminds me of terrell davis.
I'm really ecstatic about all the good corners, seeing as that's what we need most. There are also some offensive linemen and backs in this draft that will be major steals.
Official Times: Chris Johnson- 4.24 Darren McFadden- 4.33 Anthony Aldridge- 4.36 Jamaal Charles- 4.38 Rashard Mendenhall- 4.45 Felix Jones- 4.47 Jonathan Stewart- 4. 48 Here's a video of most of the RBs running their Forty, McFadden's speed is ridiculous and Mendenhall is an absolute beast. http://www.nfl.com/videos?videoId=09000d5d806dcdc3
Defensive Backs Forty Times: DRC 4.33 Porter 4.37 Jenkins 4.38 McKlevin 4.38 Godfrey 4.45 Talib 4.47 Cason 4.49 Phillips 4.54 Flowers 4.58 Jenkins supposedly had a great overall workout, will more than likely be gone at #18. Phillips stock has been on the decline and his 40 time won't help, still think he would be a great pick at #18.
