See that's something too. So i was under the impression Rockets were going after Melo to sign him with or without him promising to sign an extension. With one star you either can trade now if you don't have the pieces then you have more time to wait in the offseason for another star to join your current one free agent wise. With no superstar your pretty much SOL and you looking at NBA draft for a developing superstar in 1-2 years time span. That's what we looking at i think. The first superstar you get by any means necessary i think we had opportunities last year but we overvalued guys that played all out but now they are paid... most of them!

Morey is a great GM. This is all Yao's fault. If he was still healthy, this team would be a lot more attractive to the free agents and superstars out there.

Getting to play next to a skilled big fella, having Chinese endorsements, and automatic votes to play in the All-Stars game....

But some guy on the Rockets BBS said we should pull the trigger on that trade.

Some other guy on the BBS said we should get GraNger or PaulZZ or Melllo or WaLLaCe.

If Morey can't get all those guys he suck - why not traDD JeffrieZ for Melllo? New York got Melllo - no, we should got. We have Jeffreis they give Melllo???

If the Knicks don't have nothing and were in the losing state they were in his decision could very well change. He's young been playing a while i agree eventually he was going to be in New York closer to home ect... but if there is a greater chance to win elsewhere where he is a star with another star i think he would have sacrificed 2-3 more years. Just my opinion but New York is a better decision basketball wise right now for him as well as business, career and family factors.

yes and just keep adding to our collection of guards and maybe hopefully one day we can cash in all these guards for a superstar at the local pawn shop...

My own opinion is we should take a flyer on Thabeet. I think we just need him to be tall, rebound, and block shots. We don't need him to be a scorer. We won 22 in a row with a center whose offensive game was offensive to look at at best.

Even though it may not seem like it, I think it would be possible to get Demarcus Cousins for the right price.

Ask Cleveland how they feel about their sign and trade
