brett rogers is the guy you are thinking of. he beat arlovski in like .25 seconds. i would love to see rogers in the ufc and go against some of those guys first. fedor completely exposed arlovski and his weak chin if it wasn't obvious before and rogers just took advantage of that and arlovski's stupid hand position. i thought brett had a good shot to be arlovski before that fight but that knockout was pretty stellar. i do think rogers might struggle against a guy like velasquez or lesnar or carwin who can take him to the ground instantly. i hope a fight between rogers and overeem or werdum can be set up in the near future because that would be an excellent test for him.

 Brock's got 3+ inches and anywhere from 35-70 pounds on Fedor.

The only person I can see beating Lesnar in the UFC right now is Shane Carwin and thats if he gets lucky and connects. The guys got mean 1 punch KO power. Pretty much every one of his fights has ended with his opponenets mouthpiece flying.

i have to disagree. let's give the guy a freakin break. he was in the hospital 5 days before the fight with a staph infection and he needed knee surgery almost immediately after the fight. he should have delayed the fight but nog won't do that. i think the guy still has a few more good years left in him.

I think Fedor has the best chance and Im sure we will get to see this. Next in line would be Carwin.

+1 for Shane Carwin, Velasquez was exposed when he was unable to finish Kongo and Carwin's the only one in the UFC I can see nullifying Lesnar's size/power advantage which is all he really has going for him, he basically has significantly outweighed all of his opponents and effectively sat on them, pinning them under his weight and taking swings.

Lesnar's striking/submission skills are highly suspect and it would be interesting to see him face someone he couldn't just sit on and GnP.

Yep, I agree with the posters who suggested that Carwin could beat Brock. Nog has a chance because of his excellent Jiu-Jitsu. Cain has outstanding wrestling skills but his stand-up is terrible and has a questionable chin. If Carwin, who is almost as big as Brock, can keep the fight off the ground, I really like his chances. Dude has some of the most powerful hands I've ever seen. He would need to work on his take down defense and on his wrestling.

I like Lesnar and all but I think he needs to get beat. I have never seen anyone come into UFC with a bigger ego. Now there are allot of egos but most are earned. I think he needs to get beat .... preferably by knockout so he can't make excuses.

I can think of 3 people that can beat Brock Lesnar.

Fedor is technically a better fighter than Lesnar, but this is MMA. All Lesnar would have to do is somehow get on Fedor and Fedor would have a hell of a time. Lesnar may have his critics, but let's face it - the guy is huge, hits like a ton of bricks, and is a hell of a wrestler. He's got skills that are improving, but he is already a damn good wrestler. Ground and pound.

Anybody can beat anybody, but I would love to see a Fedor/Lesnar or Carwin/Lesnar fight.

Anybody notice Carwin seems to have gotten smaller since his early fights? Or am I imagining it? He used to be around 260-270 or something I thought, but I could've sworn he was listed at around 240-255 lately.

Lesnar hasn't beaten anyone yet. And a 45 year old Coulter does not count. Coulter lost twice to Liddell by KO before he fought Lesnar. You guys are buying into too much hype.

This the samething we said about Coleman, Randelman, Kerr when they came onto the scene and all those guys have way more skill than Lesnar.

Fedor would tear Lesnar a new a$$hole.

Everyone talks about how Lesnar is so great and how he has so much potential to improve but lets face it. He is 32 years old. Even if he fights into his forties, I don't ever see him reaching the technical abilities of guys like Fedor or Big Nog.

He does have a great wrestling background and his GNP is deadly and maybe that's all he needs to win. But lets not kid ourselves and think he's like some 20 year old kid that's going to reach another level - this is his level.

With that said, I still think Fedor would beat him. I never thought Mir should've won the first time he and Lesnar fought (Mir just got lucky). But I guarantee Brock has never meant someone that hits as hard as Fedor or with the technical saavy. But, like many have said, it's the MMA and on any given day, a fighter can get a lucky punch in.

I agree with what you say somewhat, but consider that when you improve in MMA, it's not all about his offensive technical abilities improving. Most rookie/amateur fighters are going to get submitted because they don't know how to avoid getting caught or they don't know how to get out once caught. That's where I think Lesnar can improve the most. He may not improve a lick offensively in terms of learning BJJ or anything (which he will improve - trust me), but he can still improve defensively. Once it gets to be difficult to catch him in a dumb mistake like Lesnar did, it will be murder to beat the guy unless you can clock him and knock him out.

The other thing with Lesnar you can't count against him is that he is so dang fast in the ring. It's like a freight train at full speed when he comes charging at you. Most opponents have not faced someone that big, with that much strength and that much speed and quickness.

Let's put it this way - I would hate to see Fedor lose to him. I never watched much Pride or anything, but Fedor is legit. If there is anyone on this planet that could beat Lesnar, Fedor is my pick, but that being said, if there's anyone on this planet that could beat Fedor, I would give that shot to Lesnar. Nog has had his shots to beat Fedor, but I think Fedor has proven he's the better fighter, and I think Nog is in decline.
