Yea, Blink 182 up to Dude Ranch is punk, after that album, they are not.

Same thing for the Offspring, all their old albums like Smash are punk but starting with Americana, fuggettabouitt.

Unfortunatly yes,the bad influence of pop has hurt their music.
    I prefer their original style.
Crash is one of the best albums I've ever heard.

My list will be 4 groups long because the Beatles deserve their own tier, imho..

    So..

    #1 Beatles

    #2 moe.
    #3 Phish
    #4 Radiohead

Honorable mention - Pink Floyd, The Grateful Dead, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Coldplay, Sublime and Miles Davis (last but certainly not least)..

    1.Beatles
    2.Stevie Ray Vaughn
    3.A Perfect Circle

Beatles have been the most influential band in my mind.

SRV was simply a great guitarist and knew how to make good blues music.

APC seems like a lighter version of Tool, which would make sense since Maynard does vocals for both groups. I love the whole Mer De Noms album, and I must say out of all the songs on that album, Orestes is probably my favorite.

Most of it's pretty mellow. Can get loud sometimes with music like Judith, which was one of their songs that was successful on the radio. There is supposed to be a new APC album out I think around the end of the summer, but as it stands it's up in the air because Maynard's mother died recently, and that might effect the due date of the album, or if it evens comes out. Atleast that's what I heard. If your a lyrics person, Maynard is right up there with the best of them. His music won't exactly brighten your day, but it beats the hell out of every punk band out there that cries about how their parents didn't love them enough. :D At any rate, I recommend APC highly, if Tool is a bit too hardcore for your liking. But if your a Tool fan, you'll love APC, so it's all good :D

London -- yeah, Tool is a little much for me...just not my kind of music. But Three Libras is one of my favorite songs released in the last 5 years or so. Thanks for your help!
