You see the "1" vote for the Detroit Pistons? That's me. Pistons basketball is a thing of beauty. The ball goes where it's suppose to. There is no selfishness. Everyone plays to have fun and to win. Best of all, they're hungry to win.
Phoenix, b/c I like Nash, but I don't really care much now that the Rockets are out. I do have a lot more respect for the Jazz after our series. They played really well and deserved to win. I think the GS vs. Utah series will probably be the most interesting of the next round, if not the entire playoffs.
My perversive wish is for Jazz to sweep every team it encounters and win it all. Carlos Boozer has won me over. The emerging AK47 has won me over. Needless to say, Williams is a thing of beauty to watch. Other than occasional thuggish rough plays by Harpring and flopping by Fisher, I'd love to have a coach who can take many pages from Jerry Sloan's playbook.
In reverse order... Jazz? No effin' way. They're the Jazz. Spurs? You've got to be kidding. They're the Spurs. Pistons? Laimbeer and Mahorn once played for the Pistons and ruined the beauty of basketball. They will always be detested. Suns? Nope. They're the Paris Hilton of the NBA. Bulls? They can shove that asterisk up their kielbasa. Cavs? Ugh. LeBron's fun to watch, but I don't really like him... who else is on that team? Nets? No thank you. Can't stand Vince's attitude. Nachbar makes them watchable. That leaves Golden State. A fun team that hasn't had any kind of recent success so that means they have no reason to be hated. Rick Barry, former Rocket, was once played for Golden State. Nelson is the least reprehensible of ex-Celtics. I like Mullin. Go Warriors.
Teams I despise: Bulls, Spurs, Jazz Teams I don't like because of particualr players: Suns, like Nash but Amare is an idiot. Net, like Kidd and Boki, but Vince Carter is soft and should not be more successful than T-MAc. Cavs, ditto T-MAc >>>> four steps Lebronze Teams I root for: Pistons, Ben Wallas is a weak and coaching hating r****d. Now he's gone I can fully support the Pistons. and of course Warriors.
Gotta go with the 8th seeded Warriors. I like rooting for the underdogs and this team has a bunch of guys and coach that were written off. But above all that, they are more entertaining to watch than any other team out there.
another Pistons vs. Spurs finals might very well be the death of the NBA as we know it.. what a snoozer.. I am pulling for GS, Phoenix, New Jersey, Chicago, and Cleveland.. in that order
why dont you just move to slc and get it over with. i found two - now where are the other 8 benedict arnolds - SHOW YOURSELVES!!! there is no emotocon to convey the disgust that i feel towards you! DEATH TO JAZZ 4-EVER!
ya spurs vs. pistons..i won't even watch that finals. i have to go with GSW or New Jersey..come on Kidd deserves a title.
Damn straight. I HATE seven game series that come down to the last quarter between two powerhouse teams that no how to play BOTH sides of the ball! Last year's finals was MUCH better; a choke job and a bunch of free throws!
I always root for Texas teams before all others. I was born in, grew up in and now reside in San Antonio, so after the Rockets I pull for the Spurs. After the Spurs come the Mavericks. The same holds true for colleges. First and foremost comes the University of Texas. Then comes Baylor, Rice, University of Houston, Texas State, TCU, Texas A&M and Texas Tech.
