    1.Shaq(when healthy)
    2.Kobe
    3.Duncan
    4.Kidd
    5.Iverson
    6.Garnett
    7.Dirk
    8.Pierce
    9.Webber
    10.Carter

McGrady=inflated stats, inconsistent effort, look at his measly numbers when Grant Hill plays or when he played with Vince in Toronto, 2 points in the all star game, he isn't good enough to play alongside another star and still shine on his own. He gets overshadowed whenever he has to share the ball.

Do you guys use virtual gm? You might check the vgm points for your superstars.

    I feel pretty safe with

    Kobe
    Shaq
    Duncan
    Garnett
    Webber

Those are solid stathounds. A rung down are

    Nowitzki
    TMac
    Carter
    Payton
    Pierce
    Francis

    And then another rung down

    Starbury
    Ivy
    Marion
    Malone

    etc.

Boy, that's an unbiased list.

Your opinion on McGrady is inflated, not his stats. The effort is always there. McGrady is intense and focused. Just because he can do pretty much whatever he wants out there without breaking much of a sweat...could that be why you say these things?

Add another 20 ppg scorer, and you think he should still have the big scoring numbers? That's BUNK.

He was a young, green kid and didn't get that many minutes in Toronto with Carter, so that means little.

I'll go with most dominant players that can take over a game at anytime...

    1. Shaq
    2. Duncan
    3. Kobe
    4. Iverson
    5. Garnett (he passes too much...)
    6. McGrady
    7. Paul Pierce/Antione Walker (they're interchangeable)
    8. Gary Payton (still has some juice left for both ends)
    9. Karl Malone
    10. Jordan...

Last three were tributes to the old geezers. :)
I left off Carter because he's unrefined, and concentrates on either offense or defense but never both...

Space between groups mean distinct seperation in my book:

    1) O'Neal: no doubt the best player

    2) Duncan: good FT shooting this year has made him solid #2

    3) Iverson: still sickly good and doesn't get enough
    credit, solid #3

    4) Webber: based more on last 3 years than just this year
    5) Bryant: could be 4 if Webber is trully slipping
    6) Garnett: could be top 3 if he offensively dominanted more
    7) McGrady: might be better than AI and Kobe, might not. I'll
reserve final judgement untill after the playoffs.

    8) Nowitski: solid 8, a fine, fine player. Consistency is rising.

    9) Carter:
    10) Pierce: similar, not sure which is better right now. Until
Paul wins a playoff series I'll have Vince ahead of him.

HM: Kidd, Jordan, Stojakovic. Biggest surprise is that Jordan is close to being a top 10 player. Kidd just doesn't shoot well enough to break the top 10--otherwise he is a fantastic player.

No actually both this season and the last in games where Grant Hill played McGrady averaged less than 20 points on sub 40% shooting. When he ever demonstrated he can score big while playing with another star? Never.. He failed with Carter, he failed with Hill, he failed in the all star game. The guy has inflated stats and gets overshadowed as soon as anyone with talent plays alongside him. That is so obvious

    Are you serious?

TMAC in 14 games with Grant Hill avg 24.5pts on 43.6%fg

Hes better then Carter, Pierce, Iverson and Allen. Kobe and TMAC are a toss up right now IMO.

He failed in the ALLSTAR game?
Umm sooo what..If he scored 4 pts in a charity game over the summer does that mean he sucks?

With Carter he only got 30 mins, didnt even start till the end of the year. He was 18-19-20 with Carter.

Thank you for saving me the legwork of refuting that ridiculous claim by a Laker fan.

I pretty much agree with alot of the top 10's..but I think Antione Walker should be apart of this list. The guy has great game, watch him play and you will know what I mean.

I agree with a lot of the top ten list as well. Any list that doesn't include Jordan gets my vote. He is one of the ten best players of all time but his play this season hasn't made him a top ten player for this year.

    Pfffffft......

MJ has led the once hapless Wizards to more wins so far this year than ALL of last. Not to mention, he has gone for over 40 points several times this year. I'd say he easily belongs on the list.

Those are good points but I still believe there are 10 players better than him. He didn't do it alone, which is what most people like to believe. It is starting to show that he needs help (via Hamilton for scoring). I mean the same argument could be said for Elton Brand since the Clippers are way above there average record right now. Overall though I think there are 10 players in the NBA better than Jordan.

I still say Antoine Walker--His play has earned him a start in the all-star game. So he has to be a top 10 player...
