Horry and fisher are above the rest. Not sure if Bowen and kerr deserve to be mentioned because they practically were carried in many ways. Posey doesn't deserve a mention at all, he hasn't been able to even crack the rotation on a weak NO roster. I think a great role player (of all time) contributes during the season and playoffs significantly AND can do it from team to team if given that opportunity. Horry is the ultimate definition of that. Fisher did well in utah and can hold his own on any roster.

"of all time"...let's keep that in mind when listing players... a role player who had success last season or one season should not be mentioned...

yea divac is a great one, as is fisher, a lot of them i would say who don't necessarily even make the big shot or numbers, but just awareness and decision making, thats why battier is on it despite underwhelming numbers and i think jj redick if you watch him play will be one, hes billed as only a shooter, but he often makes just the right decision, the smart pass, that might not lead to an assist but leads to another pass that opens up the floor, especially with a big man like dwight in the middle

the first couple weeks on 30 mpg he averaged 15-4-4 too....just needs the system that he fits in well and minutes and he can be productive, stan has rode him enough to improve his defense to where he is pretty serviceable

Robert Horry is the ultimate role player. Others that come to mind for me are Michael Finley, and James Posey.

To go with Mutombo, but more limited, Mark Eaton. (His role was just to stand there, and raise his arms up on defense. He was very good at his job.)

In the Steve Kerr mode, our own Matt Bullard was one of the best designated three-point shooters of the 90s. He really couldn't do much of anything else.

Earl Boykins & Nate Robinson fit the mini-Microwave role pretty well. Not sure if Ben Gordon can be considered a star; if not, he was one of the great sixth man scorers.
