my heart skipped a beat when I saw Crawford there but it was Dan...whew

Leon Wood was he the guy who Tommy Heinsohn said "had Rocket red color glasses" when the rockets beat the celtics up in Boston earlier this year?

Its pitiful that there is actually a thread on this, and that knowing who the refs are BEFORE the game actually plays a role in how you expect the game to go.

That right there illustrates why the NBA has a major problem, and why plenty of fans are turned off by the league.

agreed. but stern knows as long as it does not turn off all the fans (you and i still care), he's ok.

Dan Crawford, Bill Spooner, Leon Wood.

I recognize those names, but only because I have heard Worrell mention them when he introduces the officials for the game. Nothing stands out in my memory on those three, so I hope they will try to remain invisible tonight.

    Invisible refs = Rockets win

I would rather have this zebra line-up at home tbh. It would suck to have Joey Crawford at game 6 at home if we end up losing tonight.

I'm glad Crawford is the ref tonight. He and Javie are my two favorite NBA officials.

The Rockets went 3-2 this season including 1-1 on the road when Crawford was the official. When Spooner was an official the Rockets went 2-1 including 2-1 on the road. When Wood was an official the Rockets went 1-0 -- this was at home.
