I had to include Paultz because that's what all the brothers called me when we played. I was thankful when Rambis came along.
Dan Majerle I always felt Majerle had the potential to jump higher... it was almost as if he had an unbearable weight on his back...
All the brothers called me Bruce Lee .. then Wang Zhu Zhu came along.. then Yao Ming came along. I am gonna be Yao ming till someone else comes along
Jeff Sheppard from the University of Kentucky. I don't know how much he ever played, if at all, in the NBA. He was definitely a leaper though.
LOL. The Wopper had about 2 inches of verticle. His trademark shot, a baby hook from within 2 ft of the basket, didn't require either foot to leave the floor.
I just saw Marjele in my daughter's pediatrician's office last week. The doctors always run ridiculously late in that office and apparently Thunder Dan doesn't get an express pass. He must have been sitting there for half an hour. I haven't thought about this in quite a while, but many years ago I challenged Dan to a game of coin-op NBA Jam when I saw him at a 5 & Diner here in town. Word on the street was that Dan and his brother used to bet on games, and I am quite certain that my friends and I would have cleaned up if we had the opportunity. He was really cool -- told me to hook up with his brother at his restaurant to set it up. I kind of got the feeling it was a brush off, so I never followed up. In any case, it was better than him saying "get out of my face, loser!" He seemed like a nice guy.
Danny Vranes was another white man with hops,he was a teammate of Chambers in college and he played with the Sonics also.
