Hey did the Ford CEO have authority to fire federal career workers in the thousands and remove funding of all regulatory agencies that had issued fines to Ford under Biden?

Trying to remember when that happened. It did right?

You the difference is Biden didn't chose to show off a Ford electric truck because someone from Ford donated *check notes* 288 million dollars to him. Trump is doing a infomercial for Tesla because he got paid 288 million dollars from Elon and they are tied at the hip now because of "DOGE"

Nobody bats an eye that these politicians earn 200k but are worth millions in a few years. Trump shouldn't do the commercial but he does a lot of stuff I don't agree with. They all do.

You don't add levity. You just propagandize your side and think you express a coy outward appearance of not because you lack the self awareness to realize its very obvious you are a right wing shithead.

There is a hangout subforum for apolitical levity. People discuss political issues here. It makes it easier to discuss issues when there is sincerity. That is all. Don't waste our times. Just don't post here if you don't like the "seriousness" of the discussions here.

    It's really day and night.

Biden was promoting American EVs and clean energy. He visited Ford, Chevrolet, and GMC to highlight their American-made EVs.

Does the Trump administration express Nazi rhetoric like Nazi race science type stuff?

This both sides thing is not going to cut it. I have more nuanced principled dislike for Nancy Pelosi than you. I can type more words about why she ACTUALLY sucks so please understand people like us don't come from a perspective of rooting for a side. One side is incompetent, fine with the status quo, lazy, just exist to fundraise etc... the other side is fascist. You get the difference? There is no good side here. Just a incompetent side fine with the current wealth inequality and the other side that is fascist and wants to accelerate neo-feudalism.

Your side is so embarrassing you have to express this "both sides narrative" in bad faith to not seem like you have defended an ideology for most of your life where the end state is supporting a president that does a pump and dump meme coin on its own citizens.

I can see what you're saying, but I think "they all do," as if they’re all equal, is really off-base. That mindset, that it’s all the same, is what makes things keep getting worse... there’s no clear line anymore.

Trump is the glaring example of a bought politician, but you're right congress is full of bought politicians.

Big difference in a random congressman and the actual president who makes policy. Trump is literally charging business leaders 5 million dollars for a business meeting. No POTUS in history ever charged millions to meet individuals. He's corrupt as ****

It's not a zero sum game, both are wrong. I was not justifying Trump.

The president of the United States is charging individuals 5 million dollars per meeting so they can lobby him for tariff exemption.

Put unnecessary tariffs and destroy the economy => charge 5 million dollars to business leaders for "exemptions" => insane corruption. Its ****ing disgusting

Trump is on another scale of corruption never seen before

The whole Tesla thing yesterday would have been much better with one of these dancing in the background.

They also weren't his largest donor. They weren't appointed to make policy decisions.

You do when you attribute "both sidesism" as a defense tactic to give cover to one side that is doing what is being discussed in a significantly more egregious manner.

"Both sides" can often be used to defend a side that is far more egregious.
