It may not. He signed a max extension that doesn’t start until next year. Right now it’s the worst contract in the NBA because he’s seriously injured and it hasn’t even kicked in yet. Very hard to make the money work and would definitely take a third team with cap space or a major contract.
And that's where you'd be wrong. He doesn't simply put up standard big man stats. Last year he was one of 5 players in the entire league to post 20/10 AND shoot 37% or better from 3-point land. Being one of 5 players out of the entire league is in the less than 1%. If that's not unicorn stats then buddy I don't know what is. Them's the facts. But .... He can still kick rocks because those stats are totally empty in the grand scheme of winning NBA games. He doesn't dominate the way you'd expect, refuses to play team ball and doesn't play any defense - especially if that requires defending an actual NBA big man. He leaves that **** for guys like EG, Tate or Mathews. He might set the worst pick in the entire league .... FFS it drives me nuts to watch Theis set a good pick for Jalen Green only to get the ball back and brick a wide open 3 ball out top. Make or miss taking that shot is the right play. Imagine of Twiggy would set a good pick instead of selfishly slipping every one he sets.
It has been reported that Nuggets are looking for a wing and true backup center. Possibly Daniel Theis? Not sure what Denver would offer. Don’t see Denver having legit offer for Gordon though.
So he's a unicorn because he can shoot a three? Pretty sure that's just a stretch 4, what the **** are you even talking about? Channing Frye - Unicorn? Please.
Yes he is. Much like KPJ he has a history. If you read his old draft scouting reports and UNLV articles written about him, much of the same issues he had then he has today. Character. Looks like Silas and management want a holistic approach in helping these guys but how much can they take before they cut ties like the Cavs? Having character and a good name goes a long way.
I disagree - he definitely looks frustrated when they lose. Of course he is ready to go. Would you want to play on the 3rd worst team in the league or chase a ring in your last few productive years?
