Draymond green, just because you're use to harden being our leader when he was here doesn't mean the best player has to always be the leader going forward.
But with a lot less natural ability, at least at one point in Dwight's career he was a top-flight player in the league...
Yeah Dwight could effortlessly clog a lane on defense, box out anyone's center and grab boards. He was a beast in a few series for us. People forget that because he doesn't have the highest IQ or work ethic. Wood dances around and scores on jumpers so people get enamored by "skill". He's probably closer to Ryan Anderson's game with Dwight's IQ.
And when he played here he was already way past his prime too. Orlando Dwight was actually straight up dominant. If a player has had those moments, even though they're a dick they're at least entitled to their ego. What the **** has Wood ever done to have an ego? Dude should be keeping his head down and trying to build a career, Gordon has infinitely more credibility and prestige than Wood has and he's far from a star player.
Yes but they got tons of leaders on that team. Curry is the leader on Offense, Dray on D.......some veteran leaders on the bench. Klay was also one of the leaders by example.
Lol. If Tate threw a ball at Harden he'd be off the team within 5 minutes. It was the other way around.
This must be a basketball-specific thing. Because rarely in rugby league for instance is the leader the best player.
I could see KJ doing it. Probably wisdom he got from his pops when he was a rookie last year telling him that the veterans on the team would set an example for and help the young guys out. Tate is obviously someone you think of because he seems to have that outspoken personality. Or it might be Green who we've seen chirp with Wood during the game before. And he knows that since he was the 2nd pick he's almost untouchable trade wise on the team right now so he could get away with it without much consequence
He is not the leader, Steph is....and that proves my point, if Draymond was the leader, that team would implode...but because he knows his role, he plays it and it helps the team. Crazy nutjobs like him and Artest need leaders to look up to. DD
let’s give the man some slack. This is the NBA and he signed on with the Rox to chase a title with JEHj (& Westbrook) et al and wound up in an unenviable position as an emerging star without a clear path to victory/glory.
