Nope. As I said he’ll be just fine this year and that time off didn’t matter when he wasn’t missing game beforehand anyways. Thinking that covid pause made a difference is nonsense and just an assumption the crow eaters want to use

CP3's game is going to age gracefully. Even if he isn't a max player, which is expected at his age, he's going to contribute to any team he goes to. He isn't reliant on his athleticism and has a great jumper and bball IQ. He's like Jason Kidd in that he can still lead a team without trying to score. I think Kyle Lowry's game will age similarly. Guys that are all speed like Westbrook, and yes Wall, will have a tougher time transitioning their game as they get older.

The problem with our team is that we asked CP3 to score almost exclusively in iso at age 34. And because Capela was ineffective on both ends of the court against GS we didn't even have the option to run pick and roll to free CP3 for a mismatch like we could against Utah. We'll see if CP3 stays healthy in Phoenix, but I'm optimistic that he will as he'll be setting up Booker and Ayton to score and not trying to carry a team on his shoulders.

There's no question, Morey got completely blown out by OKC in this deal. We could offer the Suns Westbrook and 2 first round picks for CP3 and they'd say no. We got an inferior player, on a worse contract, PLUS we have up the picks.

This is the worst trade in Rockets history, yes, worse than that one.

OKC by a landslide. Its debatable if they didn't win just by dumping Westbrook and getting CP3, but you throw in the eleventy billions first rounders we gave up and its not even close.

Yah I never said he would not be an effective player. All I said was that he is done being.l a max player. I think you agree with me there

I wouldn’t put the trade on Morey. I’m 99% sure Tillman (and probably Patrick) went behind Morey’s back to agree to the trade. This is what made Morey start 2nd guessing his role with the Rockets.

I wasn't talking about his stats going up or down. I was talking about a guy with a track record of injuries being at the upper end of age for a professional basketball player. When I say nobody expected him to have a season like he did I meant him playing in every game.

Hmmm, well he played every playoff game the year before, I felt as long as he was there then, we were fine.

    1) you have a strange fascination with crows
    2) you sure seem to know me better than even I know me.
    3) how does just fine translate into numbers? And do they justify a max contract?

It's easy to look back now and say we got fleeced. Paul has always been the better basketball player, but Westy was the triple-double MVP (a stat diva with incredible athleticism). Morey wanted someone who could take more of the scoring burden off James and WB was supposed to be that.

If we had stayed the course and Paul got healthy what could we have been? Trading Capela doomed us in the play-offs. It's tough seeing all of the former Rockets playing in the POs this year. It's ironic, but In hindsight Morey did to the Rockets almost what BOB did to the Texans.

Nah it was easy to see how idiotic the trade was from day 1 for folks that actually understand the game. Morey never wanted westbrick. That’s why morey still wants Cp3 now in Philly and tried to trade for him once he left tilman’s dumbass

you got it 100% wrong. The equivalent of BOB is still here as the owner. Tilman’s actually probably worse

*Tilman, not Morey. Morey built the 2018 team that was systematically taken apart from 2018-2020. There's a reason he left

Tilman publicly took credit for the Westbrook trade. Reporters and podcasters suggest Harden was involved. Morey/Dantoni = no.
