He signed that deal to coach. I doubt they honored that deal once he was forced out/resigned. The fact that he isn't involved with the Rockets in some way is quite an indictment on Les and the way he was treated at the end of his tenure here. I.e., a) if Rudy T has a problem with you or b) you haven't tried to get him back, you must be a class A a-hole.
I think he is more of a contractor than an employee. He does one thing, and one thing only-- looking for young talents for LA. The actual games are Jackson's business, not his concern.
